I have tried several times without sucess to copy the link here, but The Wall Street a Journal (wsj.com) had an interesting article called "Flats Are Where It's At" by Susanne Madsen. The slide show had such fun facts on each slide. For example, I had no clue that mules were once associated with ladies of the evening or that heels were first worn by women to look more masculine.

Inge, you can often get to a paywall article so long as you follow a link through a third party. In this case, all I had to do was google the title and it took me right to it from the google search page and I was able to read it. I did keep
the quote marks in the search term and don't know if that helped or not.

Style.. in an airline safety video!

My baby sister and I have been on our own, individual Holy Grail-type quests for Breton tops. She sent me this link earlier today. We both agreed that the white top with the light blue stripes looks adorable paired with the red skirt. Well, we didn't 'agree', so much as message back and forth, "OMG THAT IS SO FREAKIN' CUTE".
