I don't think the Brulee sandals look right on my feet so I'm sending them back.

Yesterday while out with my daughter and grand daughter I bought the Danskos. I got Angie approval when I mentioned them on another thread, which I was very happy about because I thought it could go either way with these being kind of clunky. They are so very comfortable, but I want them to be good looking too. I also wanted a higher sole so I could wear them with my jeans that are longer in the hem.
What do you think?

Angie, I didn't see the orange Dansko that you mentioned, but I did see patent tomatoe red. They were pretty but out of my size. Maybe I should order them online. I was afraid the patent wouldn't be as comfortable, but these do not fit tight, being clogs, so I could give them a try.

I sent the Brulees back too, so we are "return sisters." I wear a 9.5N, and the Brulees only come in M width. I figured it was a long shot, but it was good to try them for myself.

I like the Danskos on your feet, and it seems like they'd be perfect with other ensembles besides your jeans hemmed for heels. Enjoy!

Hi San. I also prefer the Danskos to the Brulees on your feet. I think it's because I like a sandal to show a bit more toe, and the toe box of the Brulees is so forward and narrow, the effect is almost like a peep-toe. I love them on others, but I guess for that reason they're not for me:)

Your Danskos are nice- are you going to try them with skirts/dresses, too? I think that look could be really cute and summery.

I like those Danskos. When I was young, we had a Danish woman living with us. She always wore shoes kind of like that. So I now always associate shoes like that with a Scandinavian look.

Thanks everyone. I am enjoying this toe nail polish color too. My daughter took me for a pedicure for Mother's Day and I chose a mauve color. Then I looked next to me and a gal had this fun color on so I said I'll take what she's having!
Yes I do think I will wear the Danskos with skirts. I also do think of them as Scandinavian looking clogs.

The Danskos look wonderful San! If they're comfortable I'd definitely consider getting them in orange or red as well. Your toesies look so happy in that colour;-)

Great shoes, San! They look really comfy! I love my Danskos but have had to gradually replace them as mine were too clunky looking. I'm still considering getting some red Dansko sandals as my next shoe purchase.

I don't think that the Brulees look BAD on your feet. I think that they might not be the BEST style for your feet. I think that you can get away with a chunkier, more substantial sandal. The Danskos really "sing" on your feet, compared to the daintier Brulees.

Thank for chiming in everyone. I have a smile on my face with the nice words. I am loving the Danskos. I feel like a little girl with brand new shoes on. I want to skip and dance around.
I still have not located them in orange. Nordstrom's, in store, had a red patent leather that was a real tomatoey color. The online store has crinkle patent red. No orange. I am intersted to see what they look like. I wonder if they are patent leather orange?

San, I like the Dansko's a lot too. I think the brulees look fine too but you seem happy with the Dansko's. I actually saw the Dansko's online a while back in the bright red and they really caught my eye. I haven't seen them in orange either.

Thanks Patience, the Brulees just didn't feel like me. I felt my foot was a bit to wide for the shoe. I absolutely love gladiator sandals, but might have to admire them on others. My feet are worn out from all my years in construction and the motion that bothers me most is the flexing of the foot while walking. For that reason I need shoes that are not very flexible. The Danskos rock from back to front and don't flex.
We are certainly learning here all the complexities of the foot.
