Michelle, I love the dress on you! The whole outfit is fantastic, and both shoes and the bag look great with the dress. Great to hear that it feels good too.
I think the trench is great too, and it doesn't look too small in the pictures. I think the belt looks fine, but you can also try tying a square knot if it's less fussy.
And I have already expressed my admiration for the last outfit. :)

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Marianna, each and every one of these pieces was an Angie pick; more proof that the woman is always right when it comes to fashion!! Imagine being able to make such spot-on choices just from seeing a pic of someone?

My concern about the trench stems from the fact that it rides up in length so much once I button it. Does that come through in the pics? I also wonder about the effect of more layers. I don't wear very bulky items (the knit of the dress is a good representation of my ideal thickness), but I wonder if I'd feel more comfortable and look nicer with the extra room.

Oh Michelle, that dress is stunning on you, the colour compliments your pale skin tone and dark hair. The bag is a definate winner.

I think that it is up to your preference on wearing two animal pieces. I didn't notice the animal pattern on the shoes; is it very subtle? I usually prefer to wear one animal print per outfit, but on can certainly pull off two if they are in moderation. :)

LE: yes, the snake texture on the shoes is very subtle, which is why I'm thinking that perhaps I can pull it off, but wanted to check with you all first.

Michelle, you ROCK that dress!!! I don't remember if I had gotten around to commenting on your sweet pea+moto jacket outfit when you first posted it, but let me reiterate - looks awesome. I really like the trench on you too, but I'm with the others. If it seems like it will seem uncomfortably tight when you will layer when it gets cooler, you should probably size up. Great haul Michelle!

You absolutely need more sweet pea tops. That top is amazing on you.

The dress: love - what a great color on you! And burgandy boots will be quite scrumptious with this. A purple purse would be great too... purple is going to be popular this fall. I would also love to see the leather jacket over this dress - for a more casual look.

The trench: I think it fits you well, but try sizing up. My only worry is that the trench is shorter than the dress. I think Angie likes the hemlines to be the exact same. I recall she is a stickler about this. So, the question is, "Is the trench too short, or the dress too long?"

I can't tell from the photo, but I'm wondering if it's the dress that needs to be shortened? Can you hike it up at the waist, so the hem falls at the knee, and take another photo for us?

Shiny, my concern with the trench is that it hikes up at least an inch or two when I button it up. When I wear it open, it's perfectly at the knee, which is where I'm hoping to keep it. I don't really plan to wear the trench with the dress that often, but I did so in these pictures to demonstrate the length problem I'm experiencing a little more graphically.

Hmm. When worn open, it looks like the dress is still about 2 inches longer than the trench? I am thinking your instincts are right on the money, but it's the dress that needs to be shorter, not that the trench needs to be longer. Seems simple enough to have the dress hemmed?

I do not think it would be too much at all! But I might wear a different bag, when you wear the leather jacket and boots. To give it a pop. Your cream bag would work perfectly. The croco bag with trench is a great work look.

It's nice you can style this dress in many fun ways. If you take up the hem, you could even try leggings and your bronze flats with it....

Yep, I'm sizing up on the trench. Nordy's will deal with it and deliver it to the guide dog school to avoid the complicated shipping hassles associated with the last delivery. It may be hard to get pics while I'm in NJ, but I'll try.

Michelle I'm late chiming in, but had to add another voice saying how lovely that dress is. You look fantastic in that entire outfit and can easily dress it up and down I think!!
