Pics of footwear options for cobalt dress

I swear, this issue will be put to bed soon!! Thank you all for your endless patience!
Here are two potential footwear options for the dress. One was inspired by Angie's post today but may be making an unintentional mockery of the concept. If so I sincerely apologize... But do explain where I'm going wrong!

The other option I think may be a no go based on people's comments re. the aerosoles I discussed in the other post... But here goes anyway:

Thanks as always, my lovelies!

I prefer the first option Michelle. I do not think that the second one works.

*Sigh* That cobalt dress is so pretty on you! Michelle, I think i missed your other post. From what I can see on these photos, I think both boots and shoes work because you have paired them with tights that blend with the boots or shoes and give long leg line, but if in doubt, go with the boots. And Reva is adorable so focused on you.

Thanks, guys. Do the boots work at all in this context, or is it just the lesser of two evils? I'm concerned about the length of the dress... Is it too long for this look?

It's a little hard to tell from the angle of the photo. I think the boots work fine with the dress as you are wearing them, but did wonder what it would look like if the dress were a bit shorter.

The pictures are sort of dark so it's hard to tell, but I had actually lightened them up right before you emailed me and told me that boyfriend was faster than me! So after looking at them with a bit more exposure, I agree... option number one looks good!

That frock is spectacular, Michelle. And so is the jacket!

On my screen both options work because your legs and feet look like one long black stocking! That’s exactly how you create a long lean leg line. But I can’t be sure because of the darkness in the picture.
