Ok, so it seems like all the usual PPL rules have been thrown out the window with recent trends. There are ankle length pants, both skinnier and wider in the leg, and a lot of cuffing, again with all leg widths, and a lot of lengths that previously Angie would have called not PPL. Can someone help me synthesize what's in and what's out, and what I should be looking for in new pieces?

Obviously measurements will vary by person, but just a fer'instance: I'm 5'9" and need a 32" inseam minimum for full length pants, preferably 33" if I want to be able to wear them with shoes that aren't totally flat. When I've tried in 29-30" length pants, labeled ankle length, they just look like regular pants that are a bit too short. Do I need to go shorter, 28" ish? 25-26" starts getting into Capri territory.
