Rebekah

I like that Amanda top, surprising since I'm generally anti velvet.

Here's a tunic from Anthropologie -- available in up to an XL, with a roomy design.

I found a vest. The romper is satin, not velvet, but I had to share anyway. Kohls of all places.

Anna, I must tell tell that you've planted a bug in my brain! Pale velvet was not even on my radar, and now I crave it. Those layered Nehera nomad ensembles are so fluid and beautiful--and so expensive--that I'm now trying to figure out a way to achieve the look at a reasonable price. I may sew a pair of those loose gathered pants from some mushroom-colored rayon/silk velvet, then layer on a champagne silk camisole, the lilac shirtdress from Free People, taupe boots, and who knows what else. This could end up looking ridiculously costume-y, I know, but the romance of it is so tempting, like a bleached version of St. Laurent's fabulous gypsy collections from the '70s. Just wondered whether you're still hunting, and thinking about ways of combining pieces to get this look for yourself.

Traci, I actually like that satin romper, but the lace inset is such a *blech* addition.
Neatnic, I saw that Anthro tunic, but to me it seems eh.
Tulle, ha! I think what I want doesn't exist in my size & price range. Although Rebekah's Sundance links are tempting. I have a tendency to get a wild hair that often fizzles out.

Ganni has a nice line in grey velvet Anna, I like their quilted skirt and roll neck top. http://www.ganni.com/shop/skir.....lor=Quarry

Sorry I'm unable to pics at present.

Pixie market does a lot of items that are runway-inspired.

I found this top:

There was a blazer, too, but it looks it sold out:

Their merchandise turnover is pretty fast, so maybe they will get something that works soon.

Anna, I saw this woman in Harvard square today and thought of you & this thread. She was wearing a champagne velvet tunic/dress, brown leather jacket, quilted black otk boots, blue necklace, and tan suede bag. I really liked all of the different textures.

Love all those textures Diana, thanks for sharing that photo. There's something delicious about the champagne velvet. I'm totally into it!

Apologies if I am duplicating (I did not read all replies yet) but Anthro's sale section has a blush vest os fits all and I am a 14/16 who has had luck with stuff like that there ... anyway with 40% off the sale price is only $41 and change now.
