Ellen - I think I know what you mean about the cardi shape. I was just so tired and craving comfortable clothing so I was aiming for a kinda... slouchy... look! I wanted to be casual but it was a fashion show ... you can tell I was torn, the outfit is half and half.:-)
JG - I have a teal sweater. Do you think it would go with this green? I would've never considered that. Hmmmm... and yes, the kitchen was recently painted: our own Greenglove picked out the color!
Alecia - thanks for relating Angie's tip about white/off-white. I will have to experiment with that, because these shoes are comfy and it would be nice to be able to wear them more. The red shoes are Nine West (last season). They are 4-hour shoes. The next day my feet pay for it, but while I'm wearing them, they are comfy.
Queenie - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... which is why I copy Angie all the time! I don't know about the bow. Good question! I consider myself an hourglass - but one with a thick-ish waist. So anything that nips me in at the waist is great. I actually wore the jacket casually unbuttoned most of the night.
Kellygirl - thanks! The cropped jacket is Necessary Objects. Kinda same quality as H&M, so it won't last forever. I got it last season to experiment with the shape. Now this season I'm experimenting with the BF blazer shape with this humongously discounted Theory blazer. I have grown to like both, but for different reasons. Totally different moods. This was fun, trying it with same blouse, different jacket. Similar to what you are doing with your dress in your other thread!
Thanks San. :-)
Oneirix - I am craving to add more pumps to my closet... I feel like I'm so limited lately. So thank you (everyone) for admiring the shoes. Makes me feel better! Yes, I think I'd call the blouse kelly green. My eyes are greenish so this color brings out the green, which is probably why it draws me to it all the time. I have a serious positive emotional reaction to the color when I see it on a rack... just love the color. I just don't know if it works with my skin tone. Interesting you say it looks good with my hair; I have been wondering if the hair color was wrong for it. I just got a glaze which darkened up my blond a bit (closer to my "real" shade), so I'm now itching to wear this shirt again and see how it goes. I do think the lighting in the photo is quite accurate. It might be I just have too much pink in my skin??
Any other suggestions for the green blouse? I.e., layers to wear over it? I'm not ready to give up here... I want to get this color to work.
