Outfits from July 10 - 20 2009

Here are some outfits that I wore in the past 10 days. Do forgive the dork-face. I hate posing in front of the camera, I get so self-conscious. I had to chop my head off on two photos because the facial expressions were distracting from the outfits. I did have a good laugh with my husband over them. Next time, I am going to put the shades on so at least half of my face will be hidden. I wanted to wear them when I took these photos but I thought it would be lame since I am inside. Now I know better...

Work outifts:

1. Martin + Osa dress, Benetton pants, Jessica Simpson platforms, Kate Spade mini clutch and my mom's necklace.

Note the cropped pants on the next two outfits, but I really like them.

1. JCrew top, belt and pants, with Ann Taylor pumps in a really cool berry color. These pants are too big on me now so I decided to treat them as boyfriend pants.

Wow! You have such an eye for style. I love the way you incorporated ties into your outfits. I don't know that many people could pull that off but you certainly do! I'm having a hard time picking a favorite day since I love them all on you. Shoes are killer!

ETA: I think my favorite is the evening play wear. Love the tunic over the white jeans and platforms. Ooh la la--you look very chic.

I really adore the Martin and Osa dress with white pants. The tunic/dress is so perfect on you.
I love your colors selection which is very refreshing. You wear the boyfriend look in a great way. I love it on you. The ties, I don't normally go for, but on you they work.

(The second pair of cropped pants works really well because the leg widths are tapered and your heels are in excess of 4 inches! Well done. You look wonderful).

Ladies, thank you so much for your super nice comments. You are very kind. Ever since I've started following this blog, I've been seeing my wardrobe with a fresher pair of eyes. So thank you Angie, for your superb advice, for inspiring us to look the best that we can and for building such a supportive community.

As far as shoes go, I love them with my whole heart. When I can, I buy pricier ones because they last longer in terms of both style and quality, otherwise I usually stick with Nine West because their shoes are mostly leather (I only buy leather shoes, sole is ok if it's not) and are trendy where they can last me a season or two.

I love ties because they have such wonderful patterns. Every time I walk by men's department, I stop to check out ties and I wonder why they don't make blouses in some of the tie patterns. My husband has this one tie that is pale yellow with dots, and I am coveting it. I'll get my hands on it eventually...

*chuckle* I have your back when you raid hubby's wardrobe.

Oh, so inspiring this androgenyous, still very feminine (and sexy!) shirt and tie combo! All outfits are very edgy and so different to what I can see here in the EU.
The DG sandals are outstanding, I love them especially popping out from the green pants but not really sure about them to the Barcelona print skirt.
