Kari- I just love every outfit. You are so stylish and beautiful every single day, although my favorite is Sunday. You pull off those pencil skirts and sheath dresses fabulously!

kari, i so envy your ability to wear structured pieces so fabulously. those pencil skirts and fitted sheaths are amazing for your figure. and i'm loving the colors -- i feel like you are really starting to get more adventurous with those lately and that seems to me like you aren't in a rut -- you've just figured out the shapes and cuts that work for you, and that leaves you free to experiment with other things, like color and texture :)

Kari, I love all of the outfits. I noticed that you are getting some serious mileage from the yellow jacket, and I love it every time I see you wearing it. The blue dress is also fantastic, and I love how you mix colors.

I'm glad that Sunday's outfit with the boots and cream jacket was a winner - I really felt confident and comfortable in what I wore that day.

Angie, I was very cold during fall & winter before boots. Brrr. Wish I'd found a pair or two in college, but until recently I just didn't know where to find boots that fit a wider-than-average calf.

Hanna, maybe that's it - I *do* feel like I am having more fun with patterns and textures, and of course I love color, so maybe that's just the area I am most comfortable stretching my creativity in since most new shapes don't tend to flatter my body.

Fathenry, most of the time I just use the Angie Knot to tie scarves because it really keeps them secure, especially when I tuck the back tail end of the scarf into the knot, too.
Last week on Sunday and Thursday I just looped the scarf once around my neck, and then pulled each end back through the loop an extra time, weaving one end into the other, to make it a bit more secure.
I also like the Stock Tie knot.

Medusa, thank you - I am so thrilled that I found this job. I'm hoping that the company & job responsibilities will prove to be as good of a long-term fit as I believe they will be. I'm amazed that it popped up so quickly.

Vani, I like the Kari boots. The foot bed isn't very padded but is pretty flat and comfortable. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that they tend to bag out a little around my ankles because the material is pretty soft. Because I have large calves but regular-sized ankles, all of my boots tend to do this anyway, but just something to be aware of.
Also, mine were pretty tight at first but definitely stretched to accommodate my calf shape after I wore them around the house for an hour.
Hope they work for you if you try them out.

Thanks Kari :-) I did manage to make my way to Nordstrom today and tried the boots and I must say they looked a lot better than most boots I have been trying. And the price just right. I will be posting pictures tomorrow. I have the same issue as you even with an average 14" calf. Angie mentioned it might most likely because of the shaft length being a bit taller than it should be for me.
