Out shopping--anything here look worthwhile?

I have the feeling that this season the trends are really synching with my personal style, and I feel a bit overwhelmed by possibility but limited of budget, so I need to be strategic.

Two tops are pulling at my heart-strings. I know I would wear these a lot, but I am giving you the chance to talk me out of them. Perhaps I need to focus myself? On something, I don't know what?

(1) Unfortunately there is a lot of fine detail that is hard to photograph well. Anyway, pale blue, mandarin-collar with pin-tucking/ruffle detail, shoulder tailoring detail and gathering in the back. There is blue/white striped tacking in the collar and the cuffs. I am wearing a low-slung belt underneath the shirt which shows through oddly in the photo, in case you are wondering. My concern would be how well can I pull this off over darker bottoms due to the see-through issue.
(2/3) model photos of shirt 1, but maybe a shorter version?
(4) This plaid is pink and green. The colors would work well with my wardrobe. I would wear this over leans or leggings with boots, most likely. Maybe layer a sweater over, or a dress under. Possibly I should size up to accommodate bust and hips, although the shoulders were good. I see a lot of layering possibilities with this top.
(5) Cute, but just not me.
(6) The colors jumped out at me. Like Astrid I am a bit of a scarf-addict.

Is there anything here I can't live without or should I hold on tightly to my Euros in search of greater game?

I would have trouble with the sheerness of the white shirt over dark bottoms, personally. I think the plaid is perfect on you, though!

I would definitely keep the scarf! All jokes aside, I think the scarf looks lovely and has great fall colors that go nicely with your hair and boots.

I'm unsure about the white blouse. I think it's the same in the model pics, when you look at the ratio between the blue and the white in the front. I like the way it looks on you, but like you said it seems to be a bit see-through. I would think you would wear mostly darker bottoms in fall, so this is a valid concern.

I really like #4. Can you close the remaining buttons? If not I would probably try to size up and see how it looks.

I actually like #5 on you! But if you are not feeling it, leave it.

I particularly like shirt #1. Seeing dark pants under the sheer shirt wouldn't bother me, personally. If it's an annoyance to you, though, then go for shirt #2 (also very fab...I mean, pink and green plaid?!?! Awesome!).

I like the first shirt but not so keen on the sheerness. I think the only contenders are the plaid tunic and the scarf. The leopard shirt looks to be on the cheap side.

I love the first shirt - I would deal with the sheerness by wearing a dark cami underneath it - that way you avoid the "grinning" issue that Angie talked about a few weeks ago! Also, love the plaid shirt - not so crazy about the next one - not sure why? Love the scarf!

Shirt #1 is great- you have suggestions here about dealing with the sheerness of it that should work. I also think you should get the scarf. The other two pieces can stay there.

I agree with Khris, the shirt over a cami that tones with your pants to stop grinning, and that fabulous scarf! The others aren't as nice as these two, to my eye?

The plaid shirt has such perfect colors for you. I like #1, too, and I think you'd wear it a log. The scarf is lovely. Sorry, I guess I'm not helping you reduce your shopping very much.

I love the plaid top in 4 on you. To me, that looks like Scarlet. I could see it under a chunky knit cardigan or under your denim jacket. The scarf is gorgeous too.

You must get that plaid tunic, really like this on you for both the color and length/fit. The scarf is ok, but it's not lighting up your face in the photo. I'd like to see a brighter color in it. The white sheer top, a sheer tunic length top would get on my nerves, I prefer my tops wither sheer because they have holes in them (such as crochet) or non sheer. I say pass.

My vote goes to plaid tunic and scarf. I don't love the color of the first shirt on you, and the sheerness will likely be a problem.

The plaid shirt is fab...really sets off the color of your hair. Very pretty...get it! I'm not as keen on the leopard tank, it doesn't show off your figure well. The first shirt and scarf look nice too, but the plaid shirt is a standout!

Astrid, good call about the length of shirt 1. I think the model is wearing drop-crotch jeans that make the shirt look shorter on her. I mean, I know I am petite, but wearing non-petite sizes are not THAT off on me.

Lisa, you have really put your finger on my thoughts. I already have a longer sheerish white tunic and I run into this problem in winter. Maybe better to hold out for a blouse conducive to tucking in. The scarf caught my eye and screamed my colors to me, but it is also just darker than what I usually wear. I always wear a lighter or brighter scarf.

Angie, hah! I was thinking you would swoop in and clear up the yay’s and nay’s :o) Far be it from me to hold out on anything pronounced killer though. This scarf would go with the brown boots I have my eye on.

Hah! Instead of cutting the mustard, I am thinking I need all of this and drop-crotch jeans too. I could never have imagined wanting such a thing, but suddenly it seems like an idea with potential.

I love the plaid tunic and the scarf! I really like the first top too, but it seems more spring/summer than fall/winter, so I think that is biasing me against it (as my mind is focused on things like wool sweaters, boots, etc. :).

PS Thanks for your nice comments on my recent WIW thread (I didn't want to bump it back to the first page, so I thought I'd mention it here). You are *exactly* right about why my pup was wanting my undivided attention: he was stuck to me all weekend because my SO and the kids were out of town!
