I had a weird lump/mole type of thing on my calf - got sent to a dermatologist - he removed it, local freezing, some stitches - thing was sent off to be tested, no problem (was just a fatty lump/mole type of thing, benign). Stitches removed in a week, and there's hardly a scar there at all. I did not feel a thing while it was being removed, and it did not hurt at all later on. Just had to keep bandage on it (change it every day) for a week until follow up to have stitches removed.

In the meantime - sending lots of good wishes that this goes totally easy for you and that it's nothing to worry about. Hang in there! It'll be ok.

Hang in there - good wishes coming your way.

Hang in there! I'm thinking of you. I'm in a similar situation at the moment, I also have a strange reddish spot that came out of nowhere. I'm going to the dermatologist next week.

Victoria, it sounds like a procedure that's sure to be fairly minor, no more of a deal than getting a piercing. Don't worry, you'll come through it fine. Wishing you good riddance of it, and permanently.
