Ruth Negga has amazing style and I have been noticing her a lot. I thought her look was perfect.
Janelle Monae is also awesome and lots of others.

I loved this year's dresses. I adored Naomie Harris's white high-low dress from Calvin Klein. She was nominated for her role in Moonlight. I can't wait to see it.

I read that Jimmy Kimmel got criticism for repeatedly making fun of Mahershela Ali's name. I also didn't like the way Jimmy yelled at Warren Beatty over the best picture mix-up... "Warren, what did you do!!!" I was surprised that he would address a celebrity of Beatty's caliber in such an accusatory way (as if Beatty is incompetent due to his age).

And someone else mentioned Isabelle Huppert (Isabel or Shevia?), I couldn't agree more. Check out the ear crawler!

My top picks were Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone, Taraji P Henson, Viola Davis and

Isabelle Huppert. I liked Charlize Theron (those earrings!) when I saw her on tv live, but the still photos are not as flattering, the movement of the dress is lost. Ooh and Teresa Palmer - although I would have preferred a different hair with this. Yes but for Taraji and Viola it's all about the shimmer and sparkle for this magpie.

Oh and so many men in Blue! Loved that.

I really enjoyed the gold dresses this year, especially Jessica Biel's dress with the lovely neckline.

Jessica Beale, Nicole Kidman, and Ruth Negga were my favorites. Emma Stone always looks adorable, and I liked her dress, but thought it seemed to droop a bit under the weight of all the beading. I would have shortened the straps by an inch.

No interest in watching the Oscars, listening to those speeches, but was interested by Dakota Johnson's choice of dress. I find it refreshing and striking to see a beautiful young woman so extremely "covered up" in an era when we are bombarded with images of scantily-clad (or less!) girls and at the Academy Awards, where traditionally many women have garnered attention for what was on display (eg. Jennifer Lopez braless in semi-transparent Chanel in 2001, Barbra Streisand's 1969 pantsuit, etc)
