How do wear your track pants?

I recently bought these in grey!

They're super cute and comfy, but I'm new to this trend and not really sure how to wear it in order to not look like I'm exercising.

I see that most models wear it with heels or some kind of fancy shoe, but since I have a flat foot, I don't have many options to choose from.

I have these new balance red sneakers that I would like to wear it with.

I guess the look I want with this shoe is a "comfy" look.

Also these shoes, in khaki... maybe to make it look dressier?

I've been wearing jogger and harem pants a LOT this past year. I adore them, best thing ever!

I'm not into the whole "sporty luxe" thing. BUT I have paired mine with a pair of aisic tiger shoes, similar to the new balance. It's nice, definitely comfortable. I generally do a more dressier blouse, denim shirt (untucked or knotted at waist), or throw on a nice topper, maybe even a bit of fur or a great printed scarf, just so it's not too much of a "I just came from the gym" look. If that makes sense.

But that's just me.

I have definitely worn them with heels too. But that takes more discipline, and feels fussier some days. You may want to try a low wedge. I've done that too and it's dressier, without sacrificing comfort. I have also paired them with my ballet flats and gladiator sandals and they've been great.

I haven't liked them with my stacked heeled booties. It feels strange -- cuts my leg line too much for my taste. If I had peep-toe or caged booties, I would try those. More skin is showing, which I like.

There are a few who do the sporty luxe here on YLF extremely well and I suggest doing a search on the forum to see if you can grab a few favorites for yourself. Just put in those words as a search and hopefully you'll find someone who's posted some pics and discussed it.

I like the items on your links and hope you find some ways to style them. I always think a sporty luxe outfit would be a great way to travel and for weekend wear, too.

I just saw those joggers at Gap today, the heathered gray caught my eye, but they would be tricker to wear IMO. I have a pair of black joggers I'm looking forward to wearing from BR and hadn't thought of wearing a tennis shoe with them although I planned to wear a black slip on Van type shoe with mine...I'm anxious to see what the other more experienced jogger wearers say. When the weather warms up, black gladiators and black wedge sandals are on standby! I'm planning to wear simple t's to dress them down and dressers drape front silky type tops to dress them up. I have a jean jacket I think works well but am stumped for other toppers!

I wear knit joggers with sneaks like the NBs and a luxe sweatshirt. And slip-ons like the ones shown in the catalog pic. I stay in the sporty vein.

I think those pants would look terrific with red sneaks, slip on sneaks, and perhaps a metallic sandal (I have some silver birkie-like sandalds that I love). A boxy, cropped top, soft shirt, asymmetrical hem tee, a denim shirt --- all of these would make a good topper, I think!
