opinions on another outfit

I got this jacket at Marshalls. I am not sure. I have included a side view to show detail of back. Is it great, ok or off? Is the necklace too chunky?

I like the jacket - it has interesting detail and def. your style. But something is not working for me, and I am not sure if it's the skirt style or maybe that the pumps are too formal looking? Sorry, I can quite pinpoint it, but I'd be curious what others will say.

I really like this jacket on you GG. It's very theatrical, but not in a silly way. You can wear this look well because you are so small framed. I wonder if it's a tad big around the middle though? Does it have room to be taken in at all?

I like the chunky beads with this jacket. I also like it w/the skirt--but think it would look just as great with a pair of skinnies. The top is pretty voluminous, so the bottoms will have to be narrow.

This a beautiful jacket GG, and that shade of blue is so pretty on you. I agree with Nicole that a little taking in it at the side might make it even better. Love the necklace! I really like the whole outfit actually.

I like the jacket, too, Jean. But the way you've styled it in this picture seems very unlike you. Paired with the skirt and the pumps, it brings out the more traditional side of the jacket and down plays the uniqueness of it. Are you trying to go for a more conservative look with this particular outfit?

I agree with Nicole that the jacket would be great with skinnies, which I think would bring out the artistic flair that you always do so admirably. Can we see it with those, too?

I really like the chunky beads with the jacket.

You are all totally right, with a skirt it feels way too conservative and very unlike me, it is amazing how helpful it is to take pictures and get feedback, is this better?

Oh no! I'm the only one that does not prefer this jacket style on you. I’m sorry, Jean. I don’t mean to put a spanner in the works but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I made a point of agreeing with the status quo

I find the scooped neckline unflattering and the double collar AND voluminous sleeves overwhelming for your very petite stature. Does that make sense? It’s a pretty colour though and the beads are fab.

Do you find all scoop necklines unflattering on me or is it because of the other material? I wear that neckline often in the summer because a high neckline is not great for my chest.
Maybe your opinion echoes how others feel about the fit. How do think the jeans fit?

Jean I think those jeans fit you fabulously! I agree with Angie there is a bit too much "flap" happening with the jacket, especially those sleeves. I like the colour though. Is there any way you could turn it into a vest I wonder?

I like the jacket with the jeans. Not with the skirt, though, it doesn't look "edgy" anymore, which I think is part of your unique style.

Jean, you wear high necks all the time! You look splendid in a turtle neck. High necks are GREAT for your small chest. That being said, you look good in higher scoop necks with chunky beads. This scoop neck is too low. Does that make sense?

I think you meant to say large chest, I have a pretty large chest for a rectangle.
Anyway, I sort of see what you mean but more in relationship to the flaps than the neckline, my husband thought I looked like a leprechaun. Do they have wings? What about the fit of jeans?

Hmmm. I do not remember you having a large chest, Jean and I’ve seen you in person! You don’t have a small cup size, but you have a bony chest (that's precisely my body type too). I love hubby’s 2 cents.

The jeans look great! Are you happy with them?

Interesting, I never thought of the difference, I assumed that chest meant bust or cup size, now I get it!!
I do like the jeans, they are really skinnies at only 12" openings.

That's an interesting thing about the chest. I think I am exactly the opposite from you: my bust size is quite small but the area above does not look bony. That actually explains why I felt that I could wear deeper V-s and scoops despite all the neckline advice for the small chest.

Thanks to this thread I have also learned a new word in English. I didn't know what leprechaun was before!

I wear wrap dresses, is that an ok neckline for me? I guess with a necklace as Angie suggested and higher cami, which is what I do, it works.

I think I have seen you in wrap dresses and you looked great in them GG! I am not quite sure, but I seem to recall Angie advising exactly that somewhere: if one is smaller chested, to wear wraps with higher camis and chunky necklaces.

You are absolutely right, Tanya. That’s precisely why you can wear scoops and lower V’s while I’d just look like a bag of bones.

You are getting it, Jean. A necklace and cami are precisely what I’d need to add to wrap dresses too.
