Opinions on a couple of things

I picked up this cardigan (inspired by the post on silver grey). Do you think this shape works for my body type?

I also wanted to get opinions on this tunic that I posted some time back and that didn't get thumbs up. Here I am trying it with a vest. The tunic is sort of dark taupe, a mix of grey, brown and olive and the vest is navy. Does it work or is the color combo too dark? Added scarf on the second pic to brighten up a little.

I really liked the cardigan over the yellow striped button down shirt. But I am a newbie here, so take my opinion with several grains of salt.

The cardigan looks great to me both ways. I like the style on you.
The vest and tunic seem too dark in the first photo. The scarf improves the look. A lighter vest might also work.
You have such a beautiful figure. Everything looks good.

I like the cardigan. Not sure about the vest over the tunic- it might be a proportion issue or a color- one or both seem a little off.

You are so lucky to have a lovely, well-proportioned figure- perfect in your white jeans. And I like the scarf on you. How does the scarf look with the tunic w/o the vest?

Do you love your white jeans, Marianne? I love them on you! KILLER.

I could be wrong but the grey cardi looks a little snug in the photo. This style should be more voluminous. Does that make sense? Did you try a size up? But the colour is really pretty with the yellow and white.

Why did the tunic get the thumbs down? Did I say that too? Is the waist coat new? Sorry for all the questions. Love the scarf!

Angie, I think you were away when I posted the tunic. It has a waist tie that is a little confusing and I also was trying to think of ways to wear it. Here is a picture of it by itself (tied in the back):

The waistcoat is not new, but I got it while I was nursing so now it's a little loose. I think it's still OK though, isn't it?
And yes, I am really enjoying the white jeans, thanks for steering me in that direction!

The cardi fits you the way it does on the model, perhaps a little snugger but it’s not worth going up a size. It’s good! Do you like it, Marianne?

The waistcoat is still okay so no worries. I really like the colours of the tunic and the waistcoat together! Very sophisticated. Something Barneys would do. Are you keeping the tunic?

Thank you, Angie! I liked the color combo, too, I am just not very confident about mixing navy with other neutrals. I primarily wear the vest over something white, and I would like to expand its range.
I got the tunic on final sale and I've worn it many times - usually with a cami or scarf. Although it's not perfect (empire waist and tie), I really like the way it functions and that's why I am looking for similar tops.
I'll think about the cardigan. I like the color and the cut in general. The length or the volume factor might be a bit off, but I could still get a lot of mileage out of it in summer.

Marianne I was going to say what Joy already said - with your lovely figure, you can get away with anything!! Having said that, I think the cardie looks great. I like the tunic on its own, but feel the vest is a tad to long to make them work 100% together. I do love the way you are wearing the scarf though!!

Marianne - love the cardi w/the yellow. I like the tunic and vest with the scarf - that really helps pop it up a notch. I know how smashing you look in red so I was also yearning for a bit of red (maybe in your accessories) when I saw you in this outfit since it does seem a bit dark.

I think you look great in all the outfits, I love the white jeans on you. I think I prefer the first outfit with the cardigan. I do not think that you need the scarf with the tunic and vest combo, I like the tone on tone look.
