OOTD...whistling the tune to singing in the rain

Today was such a grey overcast day. Makes me morn the loss of my bubble gum pink rain poncho. Although it did not rain it was cold and damp in the Chi. So today I kinda dressed how it looked outside.

My lovely vintage reversible poncho. As far as I can tell it was hand made in the 60s. It reverses from a rain poncho to a wool buffalo plaid wool. It also has a reversible hood. Then just some grey knit wide leg pants and a printed top. My spectator shoes and my denim hat pulled the look together. Thanks for reading.

All items thrifted from the op shop or thrift store. I think I'm going to watch a bit of Gene Kelly......la la la la la la la la.....

Well the punk in me much prefers the checked side but I see that's less useful in the rain (good thing it didn't ). The checks, hat, and spectators together lend a playful retro touch. What is the top you've got on? Looks like more colorful, patterned goodness.

Alaskagirl here are the shoes. They are the same ones I wore the other day. My vintage spectators. I was lazy (don't judge me).
And just like the guy whose feet
Are too big for his bed

That poncho was a find and I love how it is reversible. That's a great outfit for a rainy day. I must look for rainwear next time I go to the thrift shop.

Rachylou the poor weather on Monday it was in the 70s. Today 50s We just had a day where we experienced all 4 seasons in 1 day.

Sally I'm loving the name op shop much better than thrift. Now please explain what jandals are? I always look for rain gear.

Maneera There is a op shop or thrifts around my home 3 as a fact of the matter. I o to cool off or calm down. Like someone will go yo the gym for stress relief.

Jandals are flip flops? A type of sandal. I think they call them thongs in Australia.

I'm a musical and theater fan.

Opportunity Shop dose sound more spouts my ear and it just sounds cool.

As a size 18 or 2x it is challenging but not difficult finding lovely up cycled clothing.

Jandals sound way better than flip flops. I don't wear flip flop. That thong hurts my big sensitive feet.

That poncho. Too cool. And so useful! I used to have loads of '60's vintage myself but it's harder to come by these days. I only have a few pieces now and it's all outerwear.

Be thankful that your rain does not include lightning, strong winds and hail like ours did yesterday. We need helmets for protection from tennis ball sized hailstones! I hope it does not come your way.

Joy we had that weather 2 weeks ago I kid you not One could held rain, another snow another hail, another and another sleet the the sun would shine. The were moving all throughout the Chicago area.
