There are a lot of aspects of my life that are going very well - especially in terms of interpersonal relationships, which is great - but there are several other areas of my life that really have needed some improvement in the past year and that I would like to get back on track. I'm not really big on implementing life-changing resolutions, but I'm better at implementing goals in smaller segments (more or less in line with the SMART criteria principles.) Create an achievable habit, and re-evaluate and increase my goal gradually over time.

This week, I'm starting in 3's - go to the gym 3 days, cook dinner from scratch 3 nights, and spend 30 minutes each on 3 separate days tailoring my resume and applying to jobs that have caught my interest. (I may achieve more than that, but I'm starting small.)

I've decided that, for now, I will not be strictly "SYC" - but shopping will be limited. I have a lot of new clothing items from December and don't forsee making non-essential purchases for several months. (For example: I'm replacing items like underwear, bras, and hosiery that are wearing out. If an essential item, like my bootcut jeans, also wore out and needed to be replaced, that would be justified as well. But "statement" purchases aren't really on my agenda.)

On to the fun stuff - mixing lots of rich colors over the past week!
#1-3: I wore my new ink blue cowl-necked Suzy Chin dress with black hose, black studded Mary Janes, and a gorgeous tomato red/paisley printed wrap/scarf that B's brother's family gave me for Christmas fastened together with the silver hummingbird brooch that I picked up at a farmer's market in Toronto with Cecilia. (I'm totally in love with the combination of this scarf with my new peacock-blue Talbots coat!)
#4: Remixing new items that I posted last week: iron-red bootcut cords, ink blue and mustard loose blouse, silver leaf pendant necklace, and cognac Nine West low-heeled booties.
