OMG, I read this book at least a couple times a week to my 2-year old. It's long and boring (occasionally I skip every other page and no one's the wiser) and I totally love this article for giving me something to think about next time I'm stuck reading it. Sooo funny!
hahahah! I LOVE IT! Thanks for laughs Janet. My son reallllllllllly loves this book too and most of Cat in the Hat rhyming words books. But now i can share this children's story book with my friends and laugh about it.
True story: Sometimes, when I've exhausted by husband by trying on a million outfits and asking him what he thinks, his response will be, "Yes. I like that party hat."
Love the article but really, how can this book be any worse to read to a child than reading The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe like I did to my children? As a bedtime story. At 2 and 3 years of age.
