OMG, I got boots!

I'm sure you're all sick of my boot saga but I think I can finally put it to rest. Ventured to Nordstrom yesterday ready to try on a million boots. I scoped out a sales lady and informed her of my mission. She was very obliging and brought out what I requested plus one that she thought my work for my calf.

I actually found TWO boots that fit and I had a hard time picking one. This is the one that I didn't get but fit like a dream:

The boots I got are Ecco. I'm not sure what they are called but I think they are perfect. You guys have helped me so much on this quest that I feel like I need final approval before they taste concrete! The first picture is what I wore on my mission. Note the comfy shoes--I was ready to walk from one end of the mall to the other!

YAY! That's great news Kellygirl. Love the new Ecco boots. Very stylish and they look great both with the skirt and the skinnies. They are a little shorter than the ones you showed us before, right? I think that little difference in the shaft height makes a difference; they are not overwhelming your frame at all. And so great to hear that they're super comfy.

I heard others rave about the Miz Moz boots, too, by the way.

Ecco is absolutely my fav brand of footwear - you will be so thrilled with these. They are the perfect combo of comfy and stylish. By the way, did you knit your sweater? (I see that your user name on photobucket is "kellygirlknits"). It's super cute!

Boots are challenging, aren't they? Yours look just super. I love both styles. The boots you chose are a little more classic, and they look great with pants and skirts. They should be very versatile and you'll probably wear them for years to come. Fab!

Thanks, Antje! They are a bit shorter. I think that was one of the keys--I'm so glad you guys brought up the height issue. I feel like I'm wearing the boots instead of the boots wearing me :). Those Miz Mooz are sooo tempting. I love them but felt like the Eccos would be more versatile and more classic--something I could wear for awhile.

Thanks, Laura. My DH has ECCO shoes and golf shoes and says they're always very comfy. You have a good eye--I did knit my sweater. That's one of the reasons I started reading YLF--trying to figure out the right shapes for my body. I know Angie isn't a huge fan of handknits so I wouldn't post them but it's a hobby that I can't stop. I figure if I'm going to the trouble to knit something, I should try to make it as flattering as possible.

Those are some fabulous boots! They look great on you in skinnies and skirts. I love the three-buckle detail; that's the exact detail that made me cry when I had to return my Fryes (for size problems).

That sweater is absolutely fab, too!

Wow - great boots! Congratulations. I know you went through a lot to find those.

You've actually inspired me to try more boots on in the store. I usually just assume they will not fit my calf, but those look so great on you I can see it's worth at least trying!
