A long, hard day at work was made easier with the slouchy Joie pants from Shoptoberfest and the YLF Fab Find Gold Button Sweater Jacket. The jacket has been on the DL for a while because the buttons started gaping (no guess as to why, since my bust size has not changed). I just now got around to sewing up the front opening - I like it best done all the way up like a pullover, anyway, so I figured that would be an appropriate fix. Paired with cognac belt and booties, because earth tones help mitigate the 80s influence of the pants in my eye.

I like this dressier look on you, it's on the polished side with the refined knit and non-denim bottoms. It's sophisticated and the sweater is so figure flattering as well. Are you busy due to spring break?

Joie, indeed -- Rae, you are a sight for sore eyes! This is just beyond fantastic! And I would love to copy this down to the last detail. The plaid pants are superb. And you know what? I had one of those cardigans from BR in navy and ended up purging it because no matter how I styled it, it felt "old lady" to me. But just look at you!

(Well, maybe it would have helped if I was 25 years younger and trying to wear it, but on me, it didn't look intentional and fab as it does on you!)

This is one of my fave outfits of yours, ever!

Deborah, it is a tapered silk pant. I've added a link to the Outnet above, since they seem to still have this color. They were more slouched atop the booties than tucked into them.

Suz, if I'm honest, I also had this cardi in the purge pile for a time! I like it so much better as a pullover.

Dana, for whatever reason, my feet prefer a moderate heel doing this kind of work. Same for major travel walking. Might be the high arches?

Well you know I just love this outfit! Always happy to see those divine silk pants in action. I have also been keeping my cardigans buttoned up (except for my very long, BF style ones), your fix is fantastic. And good save too, white military-esq? So perfect for the season!
