Oh my God, you guys, I have found new heels to die for! I have been searching for a new heel for a while -- I was looking at black pumps to no avail -- and I stopped at DSW yesterday to return a pair of black heels that couldn't even pass the Getting Ready in the Morning for Work pre-outdoors test. Then I saw these: http://www.flickr.com/photos/k.....455591444/
I tried them on and was madly, MADLY in love. There is an excellent cushioning at the ball of the foot, and the platform makes the actual slope of the foot much less dramatic than the height would suggest. I debated long and hard between the saddle color and the black, but decided on the saddle because I've also been considering a neutral shoe to go with all my dresses.
Here's how they look with today's orange-red dress:

LOVE SO MUCH!!!!!
The detailing on them is fabulous too; the edges and the heel are a lovely caramel patent, and leather is buttery soft and light.

They were $49 at DSW and they're called Me Too Materials, but I didn't see them online anywhere. Must be very new -- they weren't even at the other DSW that I had bought the first shoes at two days ago!
I am testing them today to make sure they last the day without giving me any pain, but since they are Me Toos I suspect they will. If they do, I am seriously considering going back and getting the black ones too. I never do repeats with shoes, but this might worth it!
Nothing can wrong on a day when you have pretty new shoes. I won't allow it!
