I am really comfortable with my existing wardrobe so I have the luxury of trying new buying strategies. Here are a few I am going try.

One In-One Out. This has proved really easy because I have yet to buy anything new in 2015. Nothing so far has even come close to piquing my interest. I am currently spending my clothing budget on having my hair and nails done. I might update my makeup as well.

Adding color. My base wardrobe is comprised of black, white, and grey. My future purchases will add color and interest. I'm most excited about this strategy because I think it will really amp up my style quotient. I am thinking of adding pinks, yellows, and cobalt. I want a new purse in each of these colors.

Buying an entire outfit (as opposed to separates). Found a few pictures of outfits that interested me, but haven't really implemented it yet. One piece in the outfit was always off and I walked away empty handed. This might have seemed like a good idea early on, I am not sure I can make it work though. I will continue to pin pictures though because they provide the best inspiration to me.

No beltloops. No purchase. I am sick and tired of always having to hitch up my pants every single time I get up from my desk.

Buy as many cardigans as you can find that don't contain wool. Blazers have worked for me for most of my adult life, but they seem so hard/harsh now a days. I want to be enveloped in soft cottons/cashmeres.

Try to add a third piece to every single outfit. This means buy more cardigans. Look for ultra lightweight scarfs. Learn to wear scarfs.
