You already saw my Tuesday outfit. Here are a couple more from this week. Thoughts?

Navy BR top, Gap pants, vintage 80's coin belt, and aerosoles shoes:

Alecia - great outfits. I like the 2nd one best. In the first one, I like your bracelet, belt, and shirt. The pants seem a little bit bunched up on top - do you have front pleats or side pockets? Harder to tell in a front on photo - do you see the pouch-ing?

The second outfit is fabulous! The first outfit works well, but it also looks to me like the pants are pouching a bit at the hips. I do really like the dark blue with the gold accessories. Although having been in high school and college in the 80s, I feel old when something from the 80s is referred to as vintage!

Like the others, I prefer the second outfit. It's wonderful on you! The cut of the blouse is very flattering. I noticed something odd about the pants as well on the first outfit. I think I'm having a hard time with the look of a shirt tucked into pants. It's totally a personal thing so don't fret. Just out of curiosity, what would the shirt look like untucked with the coin belt over it? If it's not a look you would ever sport I won't be offended

I also love the second outfit. I think with the pants in the first it is the side pockets that bother me, I never like how that style always seems to add extra material. I don't think I have ever seen it when I thought it was flattering. Possibly the shirt out belted would be just right.

Big fan of second outfit. It looks terrific on you! You look long and lean. The BR top fits you well--I agree with Dani about trying it untucked with a belt.

I agree with everyone else. I think you just need to sew the pockets on the pants shut. It is really easy if you have a sewing machine. I have done that several times and it takes care of the problem.

I also agree with other ladies. The second outfit is terrific. The pockets on the first pants are distracting, but i think you can certainly have them sewn shut and removed.

Well, now I'm a bit confused. I wore those pants with a tucked in shirt a bit ago and got the thumbs up. See here: http://i508.photobucket.com/al.....0_8983.jpg

I guess I'm partial to pockets because I love to have a place to put my bus pass , business cards when I'm working a room, etc. I hate to lose them.

Alecia, I looked at both photos, and I think the difference is probably the lighting, and the light/dark contrast of the two shirts. In the first one, the bright red of the belt draws my eye up to the sweet red stripes of the shirt. In the latest outfit, the dark shirt and the shine of the coin belt draws the eye down to the pants. So the pockets are actually noticeable in both, but the lighter blouse doesn't draw more attention to it.
I think if you like the pockets, you can keep them; just wear blouses with the pants that keep our eyes away from them. Wear the darker blouse with pants without pockets or don't tuck it in. I run into the same problem sometimes with my pants, and I've found I can get away with pockets on darker pants, but with the lighter ones my hips become more noticeable.
I love the neckline of that dark blue blouse, and the red stripe outfit is really adorable!

Actually Alecia, I was going to be the odd one out and say you look great in both outfits. I remembered the previous outfit.Nice coin belt!

Hmmmm. Perhaps you can carry your bus pass and business cards in a bag of sorts.

i love both outfits, alecia! i totally hear ya on the pockets thing - i could never ever sew my pockets shut! i use them too much! mostly just to put my hands, but the do carry the odd gum wrapper or cell phone when the situation calls for it.

love love love the bracelet from the first photo! (rediculously adorable puppy, too. lucy, right?) navy is a great color for you, and it works well with the lighter pants.

the silhouette of the second outfit is fabulous too! not sure if there is a "self-belt" on the blouse, but you could try a high-waisted belt along the midsection. it would add just the right pop of color and contrast!

I love both outfits too. I think the cut of the first pants are just fine - shirt tucked in or out. To my eye, you can wear pants with pockets, provided the waist hits somewhere below belly button, which these seem to do. (Have you tried the BR Martin cut yet?)

The coin belt is fantastic. Love that it's "vintage" (LOL - since when did 80s become vintage... sigh... ). Love that it is something nobody else will be sporting.

But best of all, in my opinion: you look absolutely stunning in rich shades of blue.
