Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

New loot - part I

I promised to post pictures of the cascading cardigans I bought last week. So here I go.

1. I actually went back and bought that voluminous sleeveless blouse at Mango (my first voluminous top, sans banded hem, ever!). I think I finally found a sleeveless top that works under a waistcoat. After seeing all your examples I really wanted to try the look myself, but none of the tops in my closet looked right. Maybe I need something with a high collar/sleeves that peep out from under the waistcoat a bit?

2. Light grey cascading cardigan with ribbed detail H&M

3. Petrol blue cascading cardigan H&M (this is why I need skinny jeans for tucking into boots, excuse the bunching at the knees)

Oh, I love the Mango blouse! (I would love to be able to wear that neckline). Both looks are fantastic!

Thanks for posting pictures Inge! It’s always such at treat!

The first photograph blew me away. KILLER. Vogue model. What a fabulous blouse!! And I love the way you’re wearing it with the waistcoat. Amazing! It’s volume for you from now on :0)

The cascading cardis look fantastic! And so do your legs with jeans in boots. Love you in that look!

The second outfit is also beautiful! You always look regal and elegant. You lucky lass. Fab stash!

Beautiful pieces, Inge! I also love the way you put them together. Wouldn't expect anything less. :)

Fantastic purchases, Inge! I especially like the first outfit -- you look wonderful in the high neck, and the vest goes perfectly with that top.

Can you see me smile all the way to your living rooms?-)

Sorry for OT, Inge, I've been meaning to ask you - did you purchase the cooking cook you were considering a while back:

If you did, how do you like it?

Inge, every outfit is a 10! Love that blouse.

Wow Inge - 3 gorgeous outfits. #2 simply blew me away. I love the look of the cardi with jeans and docs in #3. I have worn my drapey cardie with my short docs, but not my long ones like this. I may just copy that look if you don't mind!!!

Thanks everyone! I'm elated that all pieces get a thumbs up.
I really love the Mango blouse: I'm developing a serious interest for patterned (abstract and geometrical designs) tops. I am only just now discovering how incredibly easy it is to make an outfit look more unique and interesting just by adding a patterned top to the mix. Need more!-)

Tam: I insist you try the tall docs with jeans tucked in too!

Marianne: you can actually tie the blouse in different ways (e.g. a bow that sits much lower too).
And yes, I forgot to mention it yesterday. The book arrived this week. It looks beautiful. I've had a quick look inside and was already drooling over some of the recipes. I'll report back as soon as I've had a more thorough look.

I love every outfit but not quite as much as I'm loving your floor. GEORGEOUS.

Smile, thank you R&J! I love that floor myself too. It's an old parquet floor that has been carefully restored by the owners.

Hi Inge, I think all are pretty, but I really love the first photo of the blouse with the vest. Very unique and absolutely beautiful on you.

Thanks Inge, looking forward to the report! It's been sitting in my shopping cart and I almost ordered it the other day, but then I wanted to check with you first :)

Wow! I can't get past the first outfit - I simply can't stop staring and smiling :) It's such a strong and beautiful top, and you built a terrific outfit around it, Inge. Wow. I can't get enough of geometric patterns.

Now that I've recovered a bit, I'm taking notes on tall docs + cascading cardi ;-)

Wow Inge, the first photo blew me away! Killer! The cascading cardis are gorgeous on you. You look amazing. What a great loot!

Oh my gosh how did I miss your posts Inge? You look so elegant in each outfit and they are all very "you." You have a natural knack for striking a camera pose (I, on the other hand, am awkward as can be!). Maybe modeling is your true calling :)

That blouse is AWESOME times eleventy-billion!!! LOVE it with the vest, love it with the cardigan! You are going to find many, many uses for it.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I love the first picture the best but everything else is great too. You in boots is a sight for sore eyes!

You are all making me VERY happy with your lovely comments! Thank you so much!! I cannot believe I was doubting whether or not to get that blouse! And now I feel encouraged (needed that) to sport the boots + jeans tucked in look more.

Lena: I am 100% convinced you will rock a cascading cardi + your docs! Give it a try!
Maya: 38 may be a bit late for that career change;-))
