I received a care package from home. My dear sister, who witnessed in person my frustration with the price of quality clothing and the quality of affordable items in the US when I met with her in Boston over the summer, sent me a couple of jackets and pants.

I will divide the posts into bite-size pieces. None of these can be returned or exchanged. I am willing to pay to alter them if necessary.

I am modelling everything with a simple white t-shirt and my summer wedges. I am planning to buy a pair of black pumps.

These pants have a sheen to them. I thought they were a bit loose when I put them on but now that I see the pictures, I think they might be ok. These also need hemming. What do you think?

This is probably my favorite piece. It doesn't look very interesting in the pictures, but it is really fantastic in person. As a pear, I love jackets and I can't wait to wear this with jeans when the weather cools down. The question is, what would you wear with it?

I really like the pants...the sheen is nice and they fit the tushie just right:)

The jacket looks to be a rich tweed or like? Very nice:) I think you could get a ton of wear out of this ...in Bella style,... I see your jeans tucked into boots a rich colored blouse..purple maybe ,that fabulous jacket and a fab scarf...and of course your signiture sunglasses:)

I think your pants fit well, but it will need a longer top. The jacket's sleeves look a little long, but that's also an easy fix! I'd love to see the jacket (like Taylor said) with jeans and boots and purple! Add some of your fun jewelry and you're golden!

The pants are great! (I know nothing about hemming; i always have to get my pants taken down! LOL.) I can see why you love the jacket; you'll be able to wear it a lot this fall. What about pairing it with a pencil skirt, or one of your dresses? Don't you have a red dress? That might look great.

Bella, the trousers hug your curves perfectly. I would love to see the jacket over a dress with boots, or with jeans. Tweed is very big for fall, check out style.coms / vogue.co.uk trend section for inspiration.

Sweet pants! Do you like them? How do they compare to the new wide legs?

The jacket fits well on the torso but the sleeves aren’t as sleek as I feel they should be. It’s a more mature cut that way and you are NOT mature. Hmm. Perhaps it’s a question of steaming out the creases? The sleeves might drape better after that.

I like the pants. I actually like them better than the wide legs, both the fabric and the cut suit my style better.
Interesting observation about the sleeves Angie. I hadn't thought about them at all. I will try to steam out the creases and see if that works better.
Again, great suggestions. I am looking forward to pairing the jacket with my skinny jeans, boots and scarves. I think I have a dress that might work with it as well.

The pants fit great and will be perfect after they are hemmed. I like the jacket too. It's perfect for fall and is a really versatile piece.
