New hair, or I Hate Selfies

So, I went for new hair this week. It's dark! Closer to my natural color, which is brown. I really love the depth. The cut, to me, is good, but it's only on its way to what I want (I will add the inspiration pick) which is longer on both front and back. Stylist definitely went too short in front, which we talked over before she did it. It was just a risk we took but I want to grow that back a bit. Still, I do love changing my hair. I am NOT one of the women who wears the same hairstyle for years - never have been. I'm buried in work right now and getting a new chop and color is the best way I know how to deal with it! hope you don't hate it. It's okay, it'll be better by Christmas I think.

Oh, I love it as it is! And great that it's a cut that will grow and still look good... some cuts lose their shape in 2-3 weeks.

Love! Showcases your beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous brows. I like the bang length, and the deep side part- in a few weeks they will be longer and you can see how it looks.

I agree, Killer x 2. The darker colour makes your eyes really stand out - you look beautiful, fantastic. And I don't think the cut is too short at the front at all - in fact, I'm envious that you can wear short bangs - it's super youthful and flattering. Such a great colour and cut

Peri, if I have truly achieved classy/gamine/cute/edgy -- then I may never change this style. Okay, I probably will. But not for a while. What you have described is absolutely my ideal balance.
Merwoman, thank you for saying gorgeous brows! This cut and color both require a stronger brow, I think, so the brow pencil has come out.
Elly, the darker color has already made me rethink outfits! I was convinced I wanted a black coat, but now I am leaning toward camel. It's very strange how much sway haircolor has ... and scary really, because it is so easy to change.

LOVE it. The front, I'd feel self-conscious about it being that short, too. BUT it works, it's light and confident and airy. Where longer (which I'm comfortable with) quickly looks heavy and conservative.

Great cut! Makes your eyes pop! I always say wait 2 weeks after getting your hair cut to decide if you like it. Hair has to adjust as well. I think it is gorgeous on you. It looks like it will grow out well.

Love the cut and color! The cut can be so versatile. Try playing around with it more by doing a messy dry and bring your hair more forward than styled parting it on the side and it may look more like the last photo you posted.

This hair looks absolutely ravishing on you! I ADORE the shortness in the front, gives it so much energy. It totally suits your face and emphasizes your beautiful eyes.
