New dresses - keep or return?

I've been wanting to get some more dresses to wear in the spring and summer. I found some today at Macy's.

I am pretty sure I will keep dress #1. I can wear it with a cardi for work. I'm not sure about the other two. Are the patterns to big for me? I'm petite (5'0"). I will be wearing all of these with shoes that have some type of heel.

I also found this dress at Express. It was a bit too big on me, but I wanted to post it b/c it might work for someone else.

Violet, I actually prefer the second two dresses to the first, especially the one with the purple pattern, which is my hands-down favorite. The second one with the B&W pattern has the exact same shape as a dress I have. Is it Maggy London by any chance? I guess it's a pretty common shape, but it looks really great on you as well. The first one is nice but I just like the others more.

The Express one is cute too, but it does look big, which you already know.

I love the colors of the first dress, but like Maya, I like the second and third ones a bit better. They have a really nice, flowing shape that really flatters your figure. I don't think the patterns are too big, either.

Thanks for the honest feedback ladies! It is much appreciated. I see what you are saying about the first dress. Now that I compare it with the other two, I don't like it as much.

Maya - no these are not Maggie London. I think the brand is BCX, which I think is a brand specific to Macy's, not sure.

I was pleased with the dress selection at Macy's. They were on sale and I had another 20% off coupon so they ended up being a good deal.

Also, these are a bit low cut, so I'll be wearing a cami underneath for work.

I love the colors in the first one, but the style of the second two looks better on you. They are extremely flattering to your beautiful figure. I especially love #3 - it makes your waist look SO TINY!!

Another vote for the 2nd and 3rd dress. I think the colors of the first one, while very pretty, are a little pale on you. The other ones seem more flattering.

I love them all. Maybe a cardigan or wrap would make you love the first one as much as the others.
I want to go to Macy's and look at dresses too.

#2 is hands down my favourite dress, Violet. It looks wonderful!

I do not prefer #3. The border on the hem and tight cap sleeve is unflattering. It’s also a wee bit long. Unlike the others, I like #1. Pop a yellow or purple cardi over it and you’re fab.

I was wondering if the third dress was a bit long. Thanks for confirming that Angie.

I'll see if I can find a cardi and maybe skinny belt to define the shape of the first dress.
