Finding and understanding your body type

new dress- is it a keeper?

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this after Angie's blog post this morning, but you ladies have been so helpful as extra sets if eyes.

Here's the dress alone

with denim jacket, black skinnies and brown slouchy boots (although the camera was not set right so the coloring if off... sorry)

with black pleather jacket I got at Ross for 10 bucks (for that price I figured I could wear it camping if nothing else ;-)

tried it with this purple blazer- although I know it's hard to see the color. Is the blazer too long with it?

with white vest- ??

and with a red scarf (it's the only solid color scarf I have.. I need Kristen's sapphire blue scarf!)

and while I have your attention- is the circumfrance of the boots okay? I think I remember Angie saying that with scrunchie boots you can get away with a "too big" fit

thanks ladies for your time! let me know what you think.

Great dress i particularly like it with the white vest. I think the purple blazer is too long but the other jackets are fine IMO. I think it's a great canvas for a really vivid scarf i'm picturing a really vivid green one i have (like the backing for the blog section above) x

Keep! You look fab in that dress :)

I'm not crazy about the dress alone.. the neckline is too high, but you styled it so nicely!

Love it with a denin jacket and the white vest! The purple blazer is too long for this dress!

You are so creative! I like the dress with everything except the blazer and I think the boots look fine scrunched. It might be the way your arm is up with the camera that makes the blazer look off.

Thanks ladies for your input. I am going to keep it-- it was a good price, comfy, and not dressy. I know it's not the best neckline for me Rute, but I think as long as I add jackets or scarves I can get away with it. I think I also need to add a pop of color to it-- Louise, that sounds like a great scarf! I'll keep my eyes peeled for a nice bright color.
Joy, I'm not creative- I just put everything in my closet on with it and see what happens! You should see my bed when I'm done trying to put an outfit together--my hubby just shakes his head.

I like the dress and all your outfits except the blazer, which looks big. I'm not sure how cool your climate is, but I could see a long-sleeve shirt or turtleneck layered underneath.

Cute dress! I also like all the looks (even on its own) except the blazer. I especially like it with the denim jacket and with the vest. I think you should add the scarf in with the denim jacket or try a long silver chain necklace of some sort. I don't like it with the black leather jacket as much because it just seems like a lot of black and a bit too 90's.

Fab frock, queenie! I vote keep too. It looks particularly great with the denim jacket. I like boyfriend blazers best paired with a sleek pencil bottom and this frock is A-line.

Your boots are AMAZING!!!
