Gorgeous tunic! I think the dark tights do work - but I suspect that you could've even gotten away with funky patterned tights too. Or really dark, nearly black, aubergine or green or navy/ink tights... This tunic would also work over dark wash skinnies, don't you think?

KILLER coat.

Are those brown opaque tights? They look okay. I’d have preferred a more sheer look on your legs – like brown patterned hose. But I’m the only one who thinks so!

They are actually leggings, I was trying to dress it down and thought that something sheer would interfere with the texture of the dress.
Is that why the dress is not killer? Maybe I should try a different hose? I thought patterned would be too busy??

Jean, your eye is so good, you can do no wrong. I'm crazy about the coat!! I could see you wearing it later in the season with a pair of long leather gloves. It makes me wish I needed another trench.

I am not feeling the leggings and boots. Because the dress seems kind of dressy (in a fantastic way), I think sheer tights, or even not to opaque tights would have worked better with a daintier footwear.

Actually Jean, I feel that the texture of sheer hose is precisely what the frock needs! I see that Danja saw what I saw. I quite like the frock with the casual boots though.

would you wear sheer hose with the boots? Sorry for being dense about this, what color? Would patterned work or just a sheer solid brown with the boots? I will try to post alternatives.

Angie mentions brown patterned hose with the dress. You can also try color of smoke (grey), maybe even black. You can got with just plain sheer, but I think it's not as interesting as pattern. Can't wait to see the new version of the outfit.
