New black patent boots

I took a plunge and ordered the black Via Spiga patent boots I've mentioned here in the past, and they have just arrived.

They are a bit loose on the shaft, especially around the ankle, but I think I can still get away with them. The suede 'sock' part at the top is not removable, but I can tuck it in as in the last photo for a different look. I really like them and hope that my new cream trench with skinnies tucked into this boots would be my go-to outfit for rainy days here in the fall.

What are your thoughts on the boot fit? Thanks!

I like the room around the ankle area. It's a newer look. I have a SW pair quite similar to these boots. I simply adore them. They were my favs last Winter. Enjoy

Thank you very much for the approval Angie! I was a bit unsure about the ankle area fit ( did not know it was a 'look', I just thought the boots were too wide), but now shall wear them confidently!

I'll bookmark them and try to see if sometime in the future there is some sale + coupon combo that might bring the price down. If it happens I'll let you know!
What size do you need and would be your upper price limit for them, if you don't mind me asking?

You will LOVE your new boots, Tanya. Mine are also a one inch wedge – the perfect heel height.

Oooh Nicole’s funky side! I’d buy those boots in a heartbeat if they were comfortable and more affordable. I’m salivating as I type. But I’m not spending $600 on boots either.

Thanks Tanya...I'm an 8. Sometimes I need a wide, but not always. I don't know what my top price would be for boots...$300 buck maybe? Even then, it would depend on what my financials were like at the given time.
