DH and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary on the 13th and unfortunately we will have to delay our celebration for a bit, but on the plus side it gives me more time to plan (he had shoulder surgery last Friday).

We have decided to do a 3 day getaway to NYC. We pretty much know our way around since we used to go into the city often when we were dating and were within a 20 minute commute. I know I want to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and even the Museum of Natural History, but we would also like to see a play, just don't know which one.
I love musicals and comedies, and really don't want to see anything serious. We used to go to plays all the time when we dated so we would really like to see a show that will wow us.

Also, since not having been to the city much in the past 25 years, I would appreciate any restaurant suggestions. We have eaten at Becco's and loved it, but would like to try something else. DH has been hinting at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain. Not wondering about the cuisine, but how to dress. We are not dressing up, but are dressing down either. Probably dress casual, meaning dress slacks for the both of us and comfy walking shoes, well just because it is NYC and we will be doing a great deal of walking. I think I may stash a pair of dress shoes in my handbag.
