Need help styling Christmas booties...

Hello lovely YFLers!
DD gifted me with some lovely grey booties for Christmas. The fringe is a little out of my comfort zone, so I would dearly appreciate some styling assistance.
Here I am dressed up for casual date night tonight. Very GAP (skinnies, sweater scarf) with a bit of Zara (belt) and 9 West - booties.
I thought tucking would be best...but after viewing the pics, I'm thinking no - pull the hem a little over the top of the boot.
What do you think? Also any thoughts on how I work with the fringe? Do I always need a somewhat tapered pant or skinny to show the fringe?

I like how you styled it. My fringe boots have a wider gap so I always wear skinnies tucked or leggings. Here's my last outift with them

Thanks Anna - and love your oufit! My booties definitely have a narrower gap which makes pulling the pant over a possibility. I am also trying to keep minimal contrast which is why I think the faded skinnies work.

What a fab gift by your DD and I love your date night outfit. All those gorgeous greys and pops of print are styled beautifully. As for tucked or untucked, I think it works just fine as is. Great belt, too!

Hey, these are great and you look terrific in them! How are they for comfort? Are these Always Skinnies, sized up a bit? They have a nice bit (but not a lot) of slouch. I like the fade, too. You're right it works with the booties.

My first thought when i read your post was "yikes--fringe....out of my comfort zone as well" but then i saw your pictures, and am so impressed that you've styled them BEAUTIFULLY!. DD will be proud of this!

Agree with Vicki and Ceit - such a sweet gift on DD's part but yes Lulu and Joy - the fringe kind of took my breath away - I actually have trimmed a few lower pieces off since I don't want to be cleaning the street at the same time. They are very comfortable and I love the shape of the toe so I will try to work them into my wardrobe.
Thanks Suz - they are always skinny - 2 years old, so maybe have become slouchier with the passing of time...kind of like their owner :-).
Interesting thought Emily - Anna really rocks her fringe booties with tights - but I don't own any fall/winter skirts. I'll have to think on this....
