Need Help Finishing An Outfit

Okay...I'm liking this outfit so far. I just need some help finishing it. I'm weak at this. I'm thinking maybe a cardigan in mustard or tomato (can I get fries with that???) and some kind of bag. Or a denim jacket and a colorful bag. Although I'd love a denim jacket, it seems a bit impractical in AZ right now. What to do? What to do???

The tee is ivory, with olive and mahogany graphics. The skirt is olive. The glads are gold:

I love the idea of a cardigan in tomato or mustard with that! The shades would be nicely complementary to the olive and ivory.

I am terrible at hunting those kind of things down with links, sorry. But you might want to try Nordstroms as they've had a lot of great red pieces this season.

i'm thinking, if you go with a cardigan it should be a short/three quarter sleeved, possibly either cropped or belted, to help balance out the proportions. as far as color goes i think the sky's the limit; you just need a pop of saturated color to bring everything together! how about these:

okay, bags! love the idea of a cute crossbody with this, in a bright color if you decide to go with a denim jacket, and in a neutral, maybe a cognac, if you decide to go with a colorful cardi.

If you have a Marshall's or TJ Maxx in your area they had some really cute bags and cross-body bags in all types of colors that would look really great with this outfit.

Fab outfit, Lesley! LOVE the gladiators.

All it needs is a GREAT bag and perhaps fab earrings. Is your hair still short? You won’t need anything to layer over for outside, but if you’re in AC, I say s/s cardi in coral or denim jacket (in blue or white).

I'd add a stack of gold bangles and longish or hoop gold earrings. Doesn't need a cardi, but if you want to add one I'd go for something in the orange or yellow family, to contrast with the olive and give a pop. Maybe like

When it comes to bags, Lesley, it really depends on the following decisions:

o How much are you willing to spend? You can get a super quick fix seasonal bag at H&M for $20, or splurge on a designer piece. Then there’s every price point in between.

o Decide on how often you want to swap out your bags. If it’s once a season, you’ll want a versatile warm weather choice. Perhaps a colour, perhaps white, perhaps basket weave.

o Decide on the style and size: hobo, tote, cross-body or satchel.

o Decide on the hardware: loads of it, or minimal.

From here onwards, you can start narrowing your choices down. Hope that makes sense.
