Necklace and cardigan questions

I was looking at this necklace today at AT:

I ended up not buying it. I've never worn chunky jewelry but feel like I should try it. Or is it too trendy? Any suggestions on how to wear it? I have olive skin and my neck is thin but not very long.

Another (unrelated) question - has anyone seen this cardigan in real life?

I am wondering about the fit and I also can't tell from the pic if the blues and coral are bright enough or muted.

Necklace is cute. It would look great with a cami/cardi combo, a little black dress, a crisp white shirt.

The one thing that would concern me w/that sweater are the pockets. Sometimes hip pockets on cardigans can gap, or be in a weird place that makes the hip or stomach area look larger than necessary.

Thanks for the ideas Nicole! Good point about the pocket placement factor... hmm. I thought they're not too bulky but then again it's hard to tell.

Marianne, Really like the necklace. I've seen it in the store too. It would work with so many outfits. How about with a white summer dress. The chunky beads are very popular and similar to the AT pearls Angie talks about and turquoise is a great summer color.

Sure, for the fall and winter too. I don't remember and can't tell what color the disks are between the gumball beads but it looks like it would go very well with black or navy. It would be an easy tie in to deeper colors. Love it!!

The necklace is pretty, Marianne. Chunky necklaces tend to look good on most people if the chunkiness is to scale.

Is your hair long and your neck regular length? If it is, this necklace is a good choice. If you have a long neck and short hair, you need chunky beads that go all the way around the neck. That’s what you need Hannah.

Thanks Angie! Yes, my hair is long and my neck isn't :). When I was trying it on at the store I had my hair pulled back in a pony tail, and maybe that's why I was confused. That makes sense now.
