NAS Partial Success

I am new to Eileen Fisher, but I have studied so many of the WIWs and I have come to love her clothes.

I wonder if I am between sizes in EF. I ordered the large and they "fit," but I feel that they would slip down all day long due to looseness in the waist. That would get to be annoying real fast. In one single day, I would come to hate these pants. So I was lucky enough to order a pair in the next size down. I have high hopes for the second pair.

So my question is, have any other women been frustrated by the fit of the waist? Or am I truly between sizes?

By the way, they ARE long enough in size Large. THAT made me so happy.

EF is sized on the large side so that might be the issue. Glad you are hopeful about the size down.

I ordered this particular EF pair in two sizes and already returned both. Loved the length and the fabric. But they fit me quite large in the waist also, even in the smaller of my sizes. Also ordered the straight leg version of these pants. The waist fit is better, but the length is too short for me as I want to wear heels with a wider leg. Also, this fabric does relax with wear.

This isn't true of all EF bottoms. The washable crepe slim ankle pants also fit me large in the waist, but the washable crepe straight leg are a perfect fit. Over the years I've found that EF ponte pants in all cuts also are a perfect fit. The ponte pants are a different, heavier fabric than the three Milano knit styles offered in NAS. Even better are the heavyweight rayon slim leg pants. She's done these with zippered ankles and in a riding style as well as plain. Truly indestructible, and magic pants that fit from waist to ankle.

Grey Rainbow. Your post was very interesting. What I am hearing you say is that I should continue to try EF, but perhaps I need to seek out her ponte pants and/or heavyweight rayon slim let pants. This is very helpful information and I will tuck it away for future use. Are those pants of similar length?
