NAS Disappointment

I adore everything about these slacks. I tried them today and discovered they are too large in the waist. I immediately tried to order them in the next size smaller. No luck. They are completely sold out in my size.

Do I stock them, hoping that Nordstorm will re-stock or give up and look for other things?

They really are lovely and I believe they could be four season pants. Do I need another pair? No. Do I always want another pair? Yes.

I have other black slacks in my wardrobe that are quite similar, but but these seem to be so much dressier. Perhaps it is the way the fabric moves when I walk. Perhaps it is the way the fabric hangs. I don't know.

So yes, if my stocking is unsuccessful, it will not break my heart.

Gorgeous trousers! Are they too large in the waist only but fit well everywhere else? if so them the next size down maybe too small and waist alteration may be the best option.

The trousers fit amazingly well …. everywhere except the waist. After a "conversation" with Grey Rainbow, I decided to return these. I don't really have the time to stock them in a smaller size anyway.

I am thinking of pursuing slacks from Eileen Fisher instead. Grey Rainbow gave me hope that there are more perfect slacks out there and I just didn't have luck with the two selections I ordered during the sale.

I'd keep an eye out for a return, sometimes things come back in stock. If it's only the waist you may want to consider waist alteration. I'm a pretty pear and often have to get the waist taken in because it's the only part that does not fit.

Stalk them! I once scored a NAS jacket weeks after the sale was over. Don't lose heart yet.

If they fit everywhere else I am afraid size down may be too snug (I HATE too snug dressy trousers with a passion ).
Maybe this is just not the right cut for your body type?
