NAS: Best time to shop?

On a weeknight? I've decided not to brave the crowds today and go midweek. The question is, what night do you think would be best to go? When do you think the floor will have been restocked?

I have to see this year's Bernardo puffer and grey plaid pants. And the boots.

If you could, I'd go in the morning midweek. I stopped by preselection last week about 11am and there was basically no one around. Is lunchtime a possibility? In general, I've noticed that later in the evening is better during the week - after 7:30 or 8 everyone seems to go home for dinner!

You could also order what you're interested in and do an in-store pickup, try it on right there and do some browsing as well.

That's a thought - an in-store pickup. I'm wondering how long it will take them to recover from this opening weekend. I'm sure it will be an absolute madhouse. I was thinking Tuesday, but maybe Wednesday or Thursday would be better.

I actually went last night at 5 and it wasn't too crowded. I will say the inventory was light, but not sure when they restock. There were lots of sales people to help, no wait for a dressing room. I was shocked. I think dinner hour, 5 -6 pm might be okay. Particularly on a weeknight. Good luck!

It depends on the clientele in the area, but no one hits our store before noon. Restocking happens in the morning, too, so I'd say weekday morning for sure. I don't think the day of the week matters much, at least IME.

Rae - you're the expert. Does restocking happen before opening? Or does it go on while the store is open?

Not at NAS but weekday mornings around opening is when I've scored the best stuff at any number of stores. Monday's a little less, I think because sometimes they haven't quite recovered from a weekend rush.
