NAS + recent AT sale (the finalists)

Here's what I'm keeping (and some of what I'm not sure about yet)

From this thread:

Keeping: Asymmetrical blue/purple top from last thread.

Not keeping: Purple feather top (and the black/white/yellow version) - too similar in cut to other tops I own, too baggy around the waist and didn't fit in the budget along with the asymmetrical tops.

1) Keeping: Asymmetrical pink/purple top

2) Keeping: AT tie front top in dark blue. Fits beautifully and a great backdrop for bold jewelry.

3 & 4) Unsure: CE cowl neck sweaters(s) in a size up. It shows off every bulge when worn out. It is better tucked in after being smoothed out. However, it will bunch up at the bottom when you move around - do others see the same issue when wearing this? I have the purple, blue, green and grey to choose from.

I'm already regretting some of my purchases from a few months ago, so I'm raising my standards from "fits and looks good" to "can't wait to wear it out the door". I'll post another thread about the jumbled style thoughts that have been going through my head.

The issues you describe with the cowl neck sweater would drive me nuts. I would return. The first two tops look great! Any way to duplicate the first one in another color or anything? That one is especially flattering on you.

The other tops are so perfect, I think the cowls should probably go back. You're right to raise your standards - and if you are like me, if you have something you can't wait to wear out the door, you'll wear that 3 times before you ever choose something that you're unsure about.

Those first two tops look great on you and I'm glad they are keepers.

The CE cowls shouldn't drive you nuts! If you don't like them out (shows too much) and you don't like them tucked in (the bunching), don't keep them! They are long and that's a lot of sweater to tuck into pants

If you want the cowl look, I'm thinking you'll see other fabrications and cuts around as we get into fall.

It's good when you raise your bar. I am so guilty of wasteful buying because I didn't heed my minmalist, fussy intuition. . .I'll learn from you

First two tops are terrific on you! As for the cowl, I agree with the growing consensus that if it doesn't feel right, don't keep it! You will find another cowl that works better. I do think that neckline is lovely on you, so just be on the lookout for a version that fits you perfectly!

Thanks all! The cowls will go back. I wish they did fit properly because the fabric is beautiful and everyone else on YLF has them, why can't I? *end fake whining*

Sum total of NAS damage: Two tops, a pair of sandals and a cardigan.
Sum total of AT sale damage: One top.

Not bad at all. Need to remind myself that they won't stop making new and exciting clothes anytime soon and there'll always be more I want to buy.

just echoing the others, the first two tops look great, especially the first. I agree with Anne, if you can duplicate the first top in another color, you should! Is that a NAS purchase? gorgeous!
