NAS - Smythe jacket fit question and Aquatalia Obsession boot review

I received my 2nd NAS shipment yesterday. It was mostly kids shoes, but I got the Aquatalia Obsession boots in 2 different sizes and the Symthe double-breasted jacket.

I bought the Obsession boots in my usual size (6-1/2) and a size 7 as I'd heard they run a bit small. The 6-1/2 was a tad snug with winter socks, but still comfortable. I was able to wear skinny jeans tucked into them. I LOVE THESE BOOTS! The 7's were OK, but a bit large in the ankle area, so I'll be returning these.

I really like the Smythe jacket. I got a size 8, which is 2 sizes up from my usual size as I'd read on this forum that it ran really small. It fit my broad shoulders perfectly, but I'm not sure how long the three-quarter length sleeves should be????? I am 5'2" so most things run long on me. The sleeves have button cuffs, so shortening them would be pricey.

Sweet! Looks great to me - glad you're loving the boots. I can't comment on the jacket fit b/c I'm not good on that. But it seems nice

The jacket appears to fit spot on...I like the look with the boots...Perhaps the shadows in the picture are hiding sins but it looks great from my perspective...

Both items look great on you. I've been seeing sleeve lengths that are 3/4, 7/8, bracelet, and everything in between, so these look fine to me!

Thanks for all your replies! I was so happy to find a good-quality jacket that fit my broad back but wasn't shapeless and boxy or too long.

You look lovely in this outfit. You look much taller than 5"2". I am the same height so I know how hard it is to look taller this look really works well. I have recently bought a black blazer in Gap but am still looking for nice boots to go with it.

I think the jacket does really "get you"--it fits well through shoulders but has a nice slightly fitted but skimming waist. Perfect, and you appear to have chosen just the right size.

I confess I am trying to avoid bracelet or 3/4 sleeves in fall or winter jackets because my wrists get cold! I do love the look, though, and have a collection underway. Because I think that sleeve length looks really good, I have to use real will power to hold out for long sleeves in at least some of my jackets.

Two great items. I like the length of the sleeves here, they remind me of a bracelet sleeve for the length. And the boots are gorgeous!
