About your wardrobe and personal style

my Weight Loss and Fashion Transformation, in Pictures

April had encouraged me a while ago to do a photo post of my year in weight loss and fashion transformation, and I finally had a chance to pull all the photos together and write a few thoughts -- but just a few, because I truly believe the pictures tell the story better than I ever could. You guys have seen a lot of these, and I have to tell you that this forum was absolutely inspirational and encouraging to me this whole year; I would not have been able to come as far as I have without all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. *hugs you all*

That's amazing Kristen! We have lost the same amount of weight, but I started out bigger than you. Sometimes it's hard for me to see the changes in myself, so it's really interesting to see it on another person. Thanks for sharing that.

Kristen, thanks for posting this. I started being active in the forum about midway through your weight loss, so I didn't see your initial progress. It is truly amazing to see all the photos together. Congratuations!

I am totally impressed too. Thank you for creating this blog post and sharing your journey with us. It's a real treat for people like me to see the 'transformation' like this all in one post (newbie here at YLF and a newbie to reading your blog).

By the way - it was your transormation that prompted me to join YLF.

WOW! You look amazing. Losing a large amount of weight is honestly one of the biggest challenges and journeys one can take... congrats for accomplishing a goal that not many of us ever accomplish.

POWERFUL.

Very, very compelling Kristen. This thread just scored 20 out of 10. KILLER to the power of KILLER. I am *so* impressed, I can't even begin to express it.

The weight loss is remarkable, but the sense of joy and fun that you're deriving from dressing the new you – priceless.

Woo hoo -- I thought I had missed this! I have been around a little less lately than in the summer and figured it had gotten past me. So glad I didn't -- Kristen, this is nothing short of amazing.

I know you had some frustrations with having to replace your clothing so often during the process, and I'm very impressed that you didn't give up.

Have you gotten used to the New You?

This is really astonishing. What impresses me most is that at no point did you give yourself the excuse to look sloppy just because you were losing weight. At every stage and size, you maintained high standards for yourself. I know a lot of women "punish" themselves by saying they won't get any new clothes until they reach their goal weight. Kudos to you for dressing your body the way it is at every step of the way. I am always so impressed with anyone that has the determination and patience that it takes to lose weight. I'm lucky that I don't need to do it because I honestly don't think I could!

I agree One thousand Percent with all the other YLF comments. I noticed how much your smile and body language changed over the year - could see the confidence bursting out of you by July!
Thank you for sharing and inspiring us.

Kristen, congratulations on all of the progress you've made & continue to make, and especially on pushing the envelope in what you were wearing throughout your weight loss. Honestly, I think you did an amazing job buying fantastic, flattering pieces that didn't make it look as if you had a small wardrobe, and you just continually bumped up your style level. Maya's right - you never looked sloppy at ANY stage in your weight loss, and that's an awesome accomplishment.

i commented on your blog, but i had to leave one here too: WOW. you are amazing, kristen, truly. and i love that your style never slipped at any point during your transformation. incredible!

I have been very bad about commenting regularly on YLF in the last couple of weeks, only able to dip my toe in here and there, but I wanted to come back and say thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! I've been struggling since June to continue to get to my goal weight, and now I've tipped into the other direction of gaining some of it back, and reading everyone's enthusiasm here has been motivational in getting myself back on track. You guys are THE BEST.

Heheheh, I can't really answer's Angie's question about how would I spend $5000 if I could because...well, this picture essay pretty much answers it. Apparently I would dive into dresses headfirst and buy as many as I could. LOL!
