Should I buy my wedding dress online? Have anyone bought the dress she really like?

My niece bought a dress from House of Brides for $800 the identical dress in Australia was $2500. She was thrilled with it!

I think I'd only do it if I had tried on the exact dress previously or if it was returnable. Unless it's a very casual affair, there's just too much emotion, stress and $$$ attached to it - not worth the headache.

I will say my husband and I ordered my engagement ring online - it was a steal and I love it! We never would have been able to afford as nice a ring from a B and M.

I saw a photo of my wedding dress on-line and they had my size at this small bridal boutique in NY. I went on a whim and the dress fit perfectly. So, YES, you can find a dress online.

Do you have experience buying online? I would be reluctant to make my beginner's mistakes with a wedding dress.
