My docs arrived today and I am absolutely in love with them.

I apologize for the weird photo, it was too dark to do the regular mirror one. I had to use the flash, so they appear much shinier and lighter ( the jeans are super dark wash).

They are a bit big in the toe area, but I guess that thick socks will solve that. It is supposed to rain here tomorrow so I will use that opportunity to break them out. I'll try to wear them a couple of times this week and post those outfits in the weekly outfit post.

Tanya, do you mind if I ask, did you get them from onlineshoes.com? I saw that their prices were really reasonable - maybe just over $100 with all the discounts. That isn't a bad deal at all.

Laura, I don't mind at all, that's where I got them, for $100. Unlike Zappos, I had to wait 10 days for them to arrive, but it was worth it to me.

Sale alert, ladies: Zappos has these tall boots 20% off. I think it's a temporary sale, similar to what they did with Nicole's red boots (now back to full price). I got a price adjustment yesterday, thanks to Patience who mentioned the sale.

What an amazing colour Tanya! And it almost seems as if you were born with them on your feet;-) They are so very you!
I knew they'd look super on you, but they truly exceed my expectations.

Before I wear new shoes for the first time, I always use a spray to protect the leather against the rain. It couldn't hurt to use it on the Docs methinks.

(btw: I was thinking about the breaking-in process, and was wondering how it's going with your new dancing shoes, I hope it didn't hurt too much?)

I wore them for the first time yesterday in the rain, very comfy and kept my feet dry. Later in the day they were a little uncomfortable in the ankle area, but I am sure they will loosen up with more wear. I really like them!

I must admit I never used waterproof spray. Where do you guys get it and what kind? I usually stick with shoe polish but I guess it's not the same.
