This capsule business is a lot of work! So much so that I ran out of gas and cut back to two bottoms rather than three : ) I'm afraid that my results are rather pedestrian, but I did indeed learn that
1. I have more tops than I need.
2. My suspicion that I don't like collars under jackets is confirmed.

Since I don't really don't have many different silhouettes in tops, I went for a combination of woven, knits and a sweater in solids and print. The purple tee is to add a bit of color.

The Spiegel leather moto is waaay different than anything else in my wardrobe, so I had to include that for a change of pace.

I also don't have one purse and one belt the would work with everything, so added one of each.

Who knows how far into the fall I will go with the white jeans, but it was fun styling them.

I think you deserve an A++ with extra bonus points!

Look at this! You've incorporated two new toppers, one in a bright colour and one in a style you've never worn. You've tried various styles of top. You've got patterned footwear and belt. And you've mastered a semi-tuck! These are all good outfits and perfectly wearable. My favourite are #2 in photos 4, 5, and 6 (gee, can you tell I like that top?) and #3 in photos 7 (again!) and 8.

Brilliant. You go to the head of the capsule class.

Well done, Pil! What a fun capsule. Not only do you have some great outfits but you have made some discoveries too. I had a few light bulb moments myself that helped me to evaluate some of my buying habits and get rid of some orphans.

This formula certainly works for you. If you want you could try untucking for variety or adding a different pant silhouette or even a skirt. Love all of your combinations. You get an A+ from me. That lemming jacket is just divine on you. I really love it on you! So fun!

This is just perfect! Pil, this may be the first time I've seen you in the Speigal (well certainly styled, anyway) and I just love it on you! What a great purchase. Your snake booties, white jeans and white belt are just blowing me away, too! Your hard work will be rewarded when you get to start enjoying these outfits this fall, I'm sure.

That's a great capsule! I especially like the rich purple and blue hues combined with black and white/grey neutrals. Great semi-tuck, too.

You did a great job in creating this capsule, Pil! I like all of the outfits. I'll single out 4 in 4 and 1 in 7 for special acclaim--the colors really say "fall" to me in these. I like the black and white blouse with the jackets--the collar looks perfect the way you're wearing it. The white blouse collar looks fine, too; maybe it's just a matter of your comfort with them?

These capsules are a lot of work aren't they? I took me a long time to do mine and I only did the ensemble capsule so far, which was two tops and two bottoms! You did a great job here. I like all the fun prints you have with your shoes and the tops. That's one shortage I have, layering tops in general, and then, layering tops with prints on them. And the white jeans look great with the booties and darker colors, that's how I plan to sport mine in the fall too.

Thanks for weighing in, all. This capsule is so pedestrian compared to the others, but I had to start somewhere, right? The one thing that I now realize is missing is texture in the actual clothing. Well, maybe the moto counts there, but the only othered textured items are the accessories.

@Kellygirl, I feel like I got a gold star from you and the others. So much more to figure out! I thought about a skirt, but decided to wait until I get enough gumption to work on a smart casual capsule
@Claire, thanks! I like the white/snake combination too, though I'd like to find more of a winter white pant for cooler weather.
@Makrame and @Alexandra - thank you for commenting! The purple and scarf really have more of a fall like feel, don't they? I forgot about including the scarf until I had already started taking pictures
@Texstyle, do you recognize the BR washed linen shirt? Anf the gray sweater is the same one I picked up for my coral pants - at your recommendation.

@Firecracker, I wasn't so sure about the combination of purple top and black moto with the white jeans. I thought it might be too top heavy. Maybe the darker shoes help some.

@Lisa, yes the capsule is a challenge I think it's a happy accident that many of these pieces work together, though the cobalt jacket was purchased with forum input and you know all about the lemming effect of the black moto!

I think its a great capsule. I do believe the white belt would have worked with every combination. It only seems pedestrian but trust me it's not. It's crisp and stylish. You have several ready to go outfits and you won't be sorry you put in the work.
