Clapping here!! And whistling, too (if that is okay...) You look gorgeous! So sorry you were feeling ill today and all the family was as well.
I can (as I'm sure you can imagine) completely identify with both your indoor and your outdoor outfits. This is my typical day in a nutshell, (right down to worn out slippers, LOL) and I think I am doing pretty well with it.
I'm sorry your family was ill, but you do look fab. You're an inspiration to me since I'm a stay at home mom too and um wear pants/tops too many days in a row sometimes.
Oh my--I just left some words of encouragement on your earlier post, but now I see that you didn't really need them. You look terrific! Hope your shopping list included ginger ale: really good for an upset stomach . . .
I think it's amazing that you decided to go through with your new project even when the entire family felt grotty, Diane (so sorry about that, I do hope you all feel better soon). Your outfit is beautiful (love that shade of pink-y coral on you). Excellent first day!-)
Thanks so much every one! Just reading these comments is making me feel better.
Kim, good questions. Firstly, I feel better wearing a cheery colour on a day when I felt grotty. It definitely helped. I did feel as though I could have popped out to see a client and everything definitely felt comfy, but then I already sort of knew that as I have worn the combo before and knowing I felt unwell it helped to not have to think to much about what to wear. Tweeks? Maybe just to swap out my white belt for my snakeskin one as it goes with my boots, but that's quite minor really. Oh and new slippers
Excellent job! They say you must repeat something 10 times in order for it to stick as a habit. You're off to a great start. Now go treat yourself to some new (essential for your lifestyle) slippers! I vote a treat for each day you complete (small ones)
Diane, you look gorgeous! These colours are wonderful on you; I especially love the boots. And well done in the circumstances.......hugs to you and your sickies xo.
Oh my, and here I was complaining that yesterday started with a dead coffee maker and ended with two computer external hard drives acting weird -- you definitely had a day that would send me diving back under the covers to stay in bed! So I applaud you for even putting on real clothes, much less looking so nice. The bright colors are happy and uplifting and I never would have known from the pictures that you weren't feeling well. Well, maybe the slippers would have been a clue.
Diane, you look so good. That shade of pink would add roses to your cheeks, too, if you were looking a bit wan (but I don't think you are). Good show to put on that FFBO; I hope it made you feel better to know you were looking put together. Hope everyone is feeling better now, including kitty.
