I am trying out this "French 5-Piece" thing out to round up my fall/winter wardrobe. I just picked up the black skinny jeans today, did a quick styling session - and wondered where black jeans have been all my life! It is just like when I discovered navy...I don't know why I avoided certain things for so long!

I ordered two different brown leather coats, which have not arrived yet. I always have a brown leather coat in rotation, but my latest iteration is too small in the shoulders now and I feel like the Hulk when I wear it. Hopefully one of the new ones fit better!

I ordered the navy version of the sailor shirt that gets a lot of wear. I apparently dig stripes!

I will post the black jean style lab later...but I did get two different pair (but counting it as one item). I picked up distressed ones for casual weekend wear and non-distressed ones to wear to work.

A fisherman tunic style sweater - been wanting one for a while and don't have any long, non-cardigan sweaters. As my jean preference has shifted to slimmer legs, I have a tunic sweater hole.

The green shirt dress has already been discussed at length.

I hope that five well thought out pieces will serve me well this season and hope to work on cleaning out the closet more. I realized today that I hate ruffles and cuffed sleeves - something about it makes me feel like a pirate, so I will be adding my peasant style tops to the donate pile tonight.
