I am looking for a moto jacket in black or brown with gold hardware, simple style, cropped. It is hard to fing gold hardware but I often wear gold hoops. I am waiting for the NAS sale but saw this and wondered what you think.

As for gold hardware, I suspect we are going to see a lot of gold in the fall. I have been noticing on gilt that all the handbags and jewelry seem to be gold, gold, gold lately. I figure this is a nod to the 80s? Silver has ruled for a long time so it's only natural gold should come back into vogue.

Jean, what a fabulous jacket! I am actually looking for something very similar (exact same style), but maybe more caramel colored. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be more options in the fall.

That color and jacket is SO you! I hope you get it because you will look amazing in it.

I've been seeing a lot of gold hardware coming out too, and it's been intriguing me. Especially for us girls who like to wear brown (which would consist of me and you, Jean LOL), gold can work very well with what we have. I prefer silver jewelry, but the truth is a good gold looks better with what I wear sometimes.

Thanks for all the input, I will post when it arrives!! I ordered size 4 and size 6. It is oddly sized, I usually take a 2 or 4 but the measurements are smaller. It is modern sizing versus classic sizing, has anyone ever heard of that?

I have never heard of modern versus classic sizing. That's weird.

I think when a site says "modern sizing" they mean it fits closer to the body. Less boxy and more fitted than a similar item might have been a couple of years ago. Does that match with your impression of the jacket's dimensions?

The cognac is perfect for you. Much more "you" than black, I think. It is going to look great with your coloring.

I hope the size works out. I don't find size charts like that accurate at all--if they were, I would be a size 8 or 10, which I think we can all agree is preposterous. To be honest, I have my doubts that the 6 will fit, but hopeful that the 4 will work out. If not, it looks like the 2 is in stock so you should be able to do an exchange.
