One of my DDs was a definite pear shape throughout her entire teenaged years. Now at age 21, she went up a cup size in the bust and seemingly all of the sudden none of her tops fit. When I measured her, I discovered her shoulder measurement had also increased. Now she visibly appears to be an hourglass. Go figure.

Then there's me: Whenever I gain weight, it goes to my stomach and hips. Whenever I lose weight, that's where I lose it. So my measurements were 38 shoulders, 36 bust, 28 waist and 38 hips before losing 10 lbs. Now that I've lost those lbs. my measurements are now 38 shoulders, 36 bust, 26 waist and 36 hips. I remember in my teens and 20s (before having kids) my measurements were 38 shoulders, 36 bust, 24 waist and 34 hips. I consider myself an hourglass, as my waist and hip measurements always seem to be in the same proportion. Weird how my bust measurement never goes up or down, though. The only time my bust has ever been larger is when I was pregnant or breastfeeding.
