First, I don't love the name mom jeans, but I guess that's what people are calling them... Thus the title. But I digress.

I haven't been on the forum in a long time (and I miss everyone!) but I need assistance with the new proportions Angie outlined. I hope you afford me the indulgence.

To my surprise, I have been enjoying the resurgence of 90s fashion. Most of the looks, I'll enjoy from afar but I decided I could try a high waist jean. The one's pictured here are vintage Levi's but I cut them to be cropped and maintained the frayed hem with the thought that this would update them.

Like others who have posted higher waist pants before me, I'm trepidatious about tucking with them. However, I'm posting a picture with a shirt tucked so you can see what it looks like.

I am uncertain of myself with these "new" proportions. When I first came to ylf, I was still wearing silhouettes like this but they were really dated at that time. So on one level, I feel like I'm reverting backward. But I think some of it is that my eye needs to adjust. I'm not usually an early adopter.

Of the pictures I've posted, I pefer the ones that have a topper. I think that may be because it's the look on training wheels.

What do you think? Are any of these looks workable? Am I totally off base? Thanks, everyone!
