MNG sizing?

Since the store here closed, I wanted to order a couple of things from them online. I don't remember the sizing very well, how does it compare to H&M? In H&M I usually wear 8 in tops and 6 in bottoms with some variations. Thanks!

Anyone? Bella? Maya? Tanya? Help!

Hi Marianne, their sizing is a bit all over the place, but I'd say it's quite comparable to that of H&M. I do not have any bottoms from them, but I do have tops that are XS/4 - same sizes as I take in H&M.

Ah thank you Tanya!

I think it is comparable as well. I have size 4 pants from MNG, which corresponds to a 4 at zara and 2 at Old navy. I don't have any bottoms from H&M either, so I don't really know. Does this help?

What shop is MNG?

I have also found it to be comparable although I thought tops ran a little smaller (might be my broad shoulders!). I'm leaving for Europe next week and I am excited that I will be in close proximity to MNG, Zara, H&M, Esprit, Benneton and a bunch of other great stores!

Khris, MNG is Mango, a spanish chain store.

Thank you ladies!

Shana, I am very jealous of your upcoming trip! Have a great time, and I hope you find your boots! I already gave up for this season. :)

Khris, if you're ever in town that has it, check it out. It's more expensive than H&M but still very affordable. I think MNG is the US branch name, even though I am not sure.

Thanks Marianne, I am really crossing my fingers about the boots. I actually saw so many good ones when I was there there in December but we were on a really strict no spend so I tearfully put them back and moved on. I sort of regret it now but what can you do?

Oh and to answer your question about moving - I'd rather not say exactly where (wish we had a PM function!) but suffice to say that it is still on the east coast. My kids are young enough that I don't think it will affect them too much but moving is such a PAIN!

Shana, no worries, makes sense. I was just wondering if the new location is better or worse for you personally. Can you finish your studies remotely? My 4yo is really set in his ways and would freak out if we had to move. :) Even though it would be a lot harder on older kids.

MNG or Mango (here in Europe), it runs small like other spanish brands like zara (the sizes are the same as zara).

Shana have a great time in Europe, I hope you still catch the sales period, I love benneton and it has such great deals (I bought a great bag there for 60%)

Marianne, our MNG closed too, before I had a chance to buy anything there, because I had just discovered YLF. Bummer! What are you hoping to purchase? They seem to have a really good and extensive website (unlike some of my other favorite retailers -- yes, that's YOU, Club Monaco!).

Shana, have a great trip. If you see a pair of low-heeled cream colored booties in size 37 I will gladly pay you double for your trouble in bringing them home :) They were #1 on my fall list and I've already given up finding any here.
