San, you look amazing. Honestly.

I think the jacket over cardigan over pirate blouse with a belt is a bit too much. I'd lose the belt personally. The jacket gives the outfit enough shape that you don't need it. Without the jacket, the wide belt looks fantastic.

I'm not crazy about the cardi with the chunkier knit. Something about the narrowness of the belt and the chunky knit looks odd to me, and I'm not wild about it over the pirate blouse.

Love the pirate blouse with the white skinny belt but I wonder if the tie neck makes it too much going on? Maybe a blue belt would tone it down a bit.

The obi belt is beautiful. I think the brown hip-slung belt needs a longer top underneath it.

I think you're right that the textured cardi isn't working. Taylor was spot on. But I have no doubt you can find something you'll love just as much that looks a lot better.

Your LONG and LEAN look is beautiful with the boyfriend sweaters and wide belt!!...and I like the moto jacket.....not so crazy about the skinny belts underneath.

Yep, I am not feeling that textured sweater on you...even if you size down, this seems to look best on a mannequin. We have about 4 items under this sweater in the store..and I have yet to see it look FABULOUS on anyone...If it doesn't look stellar on you stick to the items that do, you have such a beautiful shape !!

Thanks, the textured sweater is going back! I'm glad to hear the opinion on the skinny belts too. I am new to accessories. I just went out and went on an accessory spree so I really do value your opinions. Thanks Taylor and Maya.
Now for future, can you tell me if there are rules to when a belt should be wide or skinny? Or is it the eyeball test?

Me thinks the eyeball...I am sure there are rules, but I don't know them...I will leave that to the skinny belt experts.

I like skinny belts with pencil skirts and short cardis (although I never do it with cardis...me eyeballs say...short waist) but your waist is so long and enviable it should work for you...no prob:) Also like skinny belts with jeans

that blue blouse is sooo yummy! i love how it works with so many different things....and that patterned obi belt pops on your white button down. i think the first picture feels like it has a bit too much going on, with all the layers (just my personal opinion though)...but i do think you rock all these looks regardless!

That moto jacket is BADASS Love it! And I love your obi, too.

You are really working the pirate shirt - very creative ways of styling. I agree that the chunky knit cardi should go - those look great on the hanger, but when I've tried them on, I find that they just add bulk - and in a weird way, at least on me.

What kind of camera are you using if you don't mind my asking. I'm on the lookout for a new one.

San, I love your outfits with the thinner cardigan and moto jacket. And it loks like that ink blouse will keep on giving you great outfits. I love the tie colar, in fact I am obsessed with those these season. I am not feeling that short sleeved sweater, though. It's good that you are sending it back. The belts are awesome, especially the wrap around floral one. Wow!!! Where did you get it?

Chunky sweater is not my fave, San. But I LOVE the long grey cardi and belt over the tie neck blouse. Adding the moto jacket takes it to another level. I would not have thought to do it, and you are workin' it, girl. Just fantastic.

San, I want to steal that blue blouse and should go try one if time is ever available. That moto jacket elevates everything. Gorgeous! I actually like the wide belts better on you than the narrow ones with these outfits.
Is the white shirt with black buttons from AT? Love it, but I don't think the belt works with it in the low slung position. The short sleeved cardi isn't the best look.
You have built an enviable wardrobe in the past few months.

I got the obi belt at Nordstrom's Danja. I'm sure this belt would be simple to make.
I am copying the looks from the AT website. That is why I have so many layers on. I would never think to layer a moto jacket over a boyfriend sweater by myself.
It's such a great practice to photograph oneself and post here. I am learning quite alot! I appreciate the feedback.

SAN!!!!! I am blown away by the first combination you posted!!!!!! LOVE!!!! After reading the comments, I agree with Maya that it could work better without the belt. But I think that the blouse + cardigan + biker jacket is GREAT! You are so long and lean, you should be a model straight on the Ann Taylor website.

#3 - blouse + cardigan + belt is great too. I agree that the chunky cardigan is not working so well. I like the white blouse with a belt, but agree that belting higher with the skinny belt would work better.

Gosh San, your styling is fantastic, you have some beautiful accessories there. I love the slim flower belt and the obi belt. The biker jacket over the pirate blouse looks amazing, you really must wear that look outside of your bathroom!

The first photo is so impressive....I have a connection... went shopping tonight and got some boots, flats, sailor pants, skinny jeans and had to stop to question chunky cardi vs. long jersey cardi..... jersey cardi won!!! Hoooray for long thin cardi! Love the belt. It is my fav... thanks for the inspiration.
